Small but lovely B&B in Matera. Giuseppe and Paula were great hosts. Breakfast on the roof terrace was delightful and had amazing views. On the down side, it was a little tricky to find and there is no parking nearby.

The room was small but the bathroom bathroom interestingly cavernous. The service quite friendly and helpful. The highlight was breakfast on the rooftop deck. The location is central and ideal for exploring this fascinating city.

Lovely little apartment. Maybe a bit light on cooking equipment if you wanted to cook seriously and we had a bit of a problem with mosquitoes in the apartment but these were small points compared with the excellent welcome and the lovely fresh breakfast (their Mother's homemade cake was wonderful!). Lovely view from terrace, where you have breakfast, over the...

The B&B of Paola and Giuseppe in Matera is absolutely lovely. The 4 of us (2 teenage kids) were staying in the 'downstairs' apartment which was spacious and decorated very, very nicely in a vintage style. The roof terrace has a fantastic view of the sassi and was used to serve us a very nice breakfast. The tips we received...

This place is the very definition of "amazing." The young and dynamic brother and sister team of Giuseppe and Paola have taken an absolutely remarkable care of this unique, 100% one of a kind place. You walk into a dream and once you've taken in the view of the sassi from their upper terrace, well... my guess is life will...

We stayed only for one night and were really nicely welcomed by owners. Place is in a very good and quiet location. Apartment was spotless and regardless of outside heat (37 C) inside temperature was very pleasant and refreshing, considering that there is no AC inside. Hosts were really friendly and have made our stay well organized. They have recommended...

Giuseppe and Paola were super kind and welcomed us to their lovely, neat and super clean B&B. The terrace is to die for! We could both enjoy a great dinner, even me being gluten intolerant. Giuseppe gave us loads of useful recommendations on what to do and where to eat in Matera: he surely wins the prize of most talkative...

Our stay in the Gradelle Pennino was nothing short of extraordinary. From the beginning of our trip, Giuseppe greeted us warmly and directed us down the heart of il sasso Caveoso where the charming apartment is located. The B&B is very clean and equipped with all the commodities you might need, Paola and Giupesse provided shampoos and even a hairdryer....

Our 2 nights at B&B Gradelle Pennino were just perfect! Our hosts were so welcoming and even offered to pick us up at the train station when we arrived on a hot day. Our room was very clean and comfortable; breakfasts were light and fresh. Paola's apple cake was heavenly!! Our first views of the sassi were from the terraces...
