Detailed Reviews
We must have been upgraded or something, because our room (Room 150) was massive! With a king bed and a small lounge area.. we were delighted and very much appreciated the service as well. Pablo at the reception very kindly gave us a quick summary of the key points of the hotel. However, it was a bit odd that there was no doorman to greet us when our taxi arrived, which we would expect for a five star hotel. I would suggest perhaps stationing someone to greet guests and to help with the luggage, as we had to struggle with our bags through the front.
The location of this hotel is not too bad, it is a bit out of the way but the main city and historical part of town was only about 15-20 minutes away.
The linen was fresh and clean, and our view looked into the interior courtyard which is quite pretty. However, this does mean that sometimes the noise from the courtyard floats up to the room. The hotel also does not have USB charging ports - so I suggest you bring your own adapter or the hotel may be able to lend you one, which they kindly did for us.
I will say that the one let down (for us anyway) was the coffee machine. It was the American type (with a filter bag), which we Australians are not used to. We got it to work after a few tries, but after staying at other hotels where there are simple and efficient coffee pod machines, this was a lot of work for first thing in the morning.
The hotel also has an excellent gym and pool/spa area. The pool room is indoor and heated, which is lovely in the winter! However, the hotel is quite particular on how to use the pool - they require guests to either wear swimming caps or shower caps. Guests can purchase swimming caps for 3 euros if they don’t have one or the shower cap is free. I would suggest that if you are intent on actually swimming to invest in the swimming cap (or bring your own), but if you just want to bob around in the pool (like me), then the shower cap would be fine. Shoes are also not allowed in the pool room, but the bedroom slippers provided by the hotel are fine.
Other than that one minor issue with the coffee machine, we had a very lovely stay and we would definitely choose to stay here again.

This is a beautiful facility in an excellent location. We were upgraded to a very large room with a balcony. Actually, by European standards, the room and balcony were huge! The bathroom was outstanding with a separate WC, extremely large shower, and separate tub. Gracious and helpful staff. The reasons I did not give the hotel five stars are as follows:
1. In need of some renovation. Carpeting in our room was torn, as in the hallway. Holes in blackout curtains.Furniture in room badly scratched with some cabinet handles falling off. Secondary lock on sliding glass door was broken off.
2. Dirty room service trays sat in the hallway for entire days.
3. On our first night, we were tired, so we ate in the hotel restaurant. Food was subpar at best. Once we did not order drinks or wine, we were second class citizens to our waiter.
With a bit of renovation, I would rate this Westin six stars!!

Lovely hotel with spacious public areas, a wonderful central courtyard garden and great facilities. Breakfast was nicely laid out but unfortunately things like scrambled eggs and baked beans were served at best- luke-warm.
Plenty of choice with fruits/yogurts/cereals etc etc in plentiful supply.
Our room (161) was very light and spacious with a large bathroom which had a separate bath and shower. The WC was also separate, which was convenient. My partner says she can always tell when a man has designed the layout of the room however…the only decent mirror with lighting was in the bathroom above the sink…a nightmare for us getting ready at the same time with my partner wanting to blow dry her hair whilst I was attempting to shave. (Electrics in the bathroom is also somewhat of a worry!)
We had dinner on our first night and my partner says that the tuna steak she had for her main course was the best she has ever had…incredibly tender and tasty.
Lovely staff and a reasonable location for reaching the old town. Definitely recommend.

Let me start by saying I have travelled to 29 countries and have visited over 100 5* hotels all over the world - I have a good knowledge of value for money, customer services, etc… This hotel does NOT match 5* standards. The rooms are unkempt, with wallpaper peeling off the walls, holes in the carpet and dusty furnishings. Secondly, the water temperature in any of these rooms does NOT go above 38 degrees celcius. We are visiting in January and can not take a bath, and showers are lukewarm and unpleasant. Management said nothing could be done. Thirdly, we asked for a knife and fork to be sent to our room as we ordered food and the hotel said they would charge us for this service! For an expensive hotel which takes a large deposit, this hotel offers awful customer service, no effort whatsoever and old amenities. Do yourself a favour and get an airbnb.

room was nice, bed comfortable although disappointing that a 5* hotel doesn't have a mix of pillows (I asked for a firm one but none were really firm). I find it ridiculous that they pretend to be doing their bit for the environment by putting in recycling, normal trash rubbish bins however giving 200ml plastic bottles of water on a daily basis is ok apparently & changing towels daily the norm. Com'on Marriott get with the plan, even in 5* hotels just put in a filter on every floor & give people the opportunity to use the same towels daily. I also find it incredible that in Europe people don't have a choice of continental breakfast but expected to pay 26euro for a full cooked but the bar doesn't open until 10am for coffee & croissants.

We decided to bring some food back to eat in our room. While asking some forks to be brought up to our room, the guess service told me to go downstairs to the restaurant to get it myself, otherwise they will charge me 7 Euro for brining it to the room. This is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard as an ambassador member.

A wonderful comfortable hotel. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. It’s located close enough to the city centre to be convenient but far enough outside to be quiet . Worry not about the road or the football stadium, the double glazing is very effective. The garden area is tranquil and pleasant . We had breakfast at nearby coffee shops and there’s plenty . Lunch in the garden restaurant was great quality . The rooms are a bit dated but very large and light and clean . The bed was so comfortable with quality linens , best sleep I’ve had for some time at a hotel. The bathroom had a bath and a shower and both were supplied with plentiful hot water with good pressure. Toiletries are average . The Metro stop is very close and runs direct to the airport , costs €5.30 . The beach is a 15-20 minute bus ride away and the bus goes from and returns to a stop very close so again really convenient . There are a lot of restaurants and bars close by but it’s really only a fifteen minute walk into the city centre with all its restaurants and bars . I’d definitely stay here again on my next visit to this lovely city .

Neven felt the urge to warn other possible guest about a property... until now.
Beware and avoid for following reasons:
Worn down:
The carpet is lose, stains are every where, cabinets are broken, phones are not working, tape is used to keep lightswitches together, the wallpaper is coming off, taps are leaking, windows are not closing properly, paint is falling off the ceilling. This is does in no way reflect Westin or 5 stars.
Dirty:
There were stains on doors, walls, handles and mirrors, hairs in the bath room, torn pillow covers, blood stains on duvets, dead bugs on the floor, there is even medication of the previous guests on the bathroom floor
Changing room is not an option cause all rooms are terrible.
Noise :
Loads of noise of screening people in the middel of the night from multipole rooms. Keeping us awake. Reception did not even answer the phone...
Management:
Not open for feedback and not providing sollutions other than the next ols dorn down and dirty room.
They should be embarressed that they sell this property in this state.
So please refrain from commenting the standart answer below that you actully value feedback and will continue to work for the best service and experience. Because you most clearly and definately do no such thing! I will forward my email to the Marriott / Westin HQ as they need to know that this franchise is not worth the name Westin. Audit time.

Valencia was our first stop in our 2 week trip to Spain. Since the country had recently opened to US travelers we were very fortunate to not only be able to book awesome hotels but get excellent rates. The Westin is centrally located, just a short walk to the old town. The staff is very attentive, dedicated and professional. The room is spacious, clean and modern. Like most constructions with Arab influence there is wonderful patio with lots of green and a fountain. Breakfast was being served outside and it was very pleasant. The menu was restricted however the food was well prepared and very tasty. In the evening we enjoyed cocktails with cheese, ham and other appetizers, everything really good. The servers were excellent .

The hotel is very nice, with a huge garden with three restaurants. We were for 3 days, visited all three restaurants are very good, especially breakfast.
The rooms are very spacious, ours also had a huge terrace. The beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are large and well maintained.
The hotel is conveniently located close to the historic city center.
The problems started when we had to leave: We were on the second floor 6 people with 6 suitcases, due to some repairs the elevators did not work for two days and we were forced to carry the suitcases up some emergency stairs, which is not good for a 5 star hotel.
Our flight was early in the morning, so we agreed with the reception from the previous day to give us breakfast as a package for the airport. At 6:30 in the morning no one had heard anything about this breakfast we were forced to wait in front of the restaurant but no one moved and we left empty handed as the taxi was waiting for us.
We had ordered two taxis and both came, but while they were waiting for us to take the breakfast that did not come, one taxi was taken by some local customers (again from the hotel) and we had to wait for a new taxi to come. Overall the hotel is good, but the service corresponds to a three star hotel. I was left with the unpleasant impression that only people from Spain were paid attention to, and foreigners were looked down upon rather contemptuously.
