Hotel Meliá Valencia has garnered praise for its cleanliness, with travelers noting the pristine condition of rooms and bathrooms. Despite mixed feelings regarding value, citing unexpected costs for pool usage and parking, guests appreciate the spacious rooms, though they could benefit from modernization. The hotel's location is generally celebrated for its accessibility to local sights, although one reviewer suggested it's not as central. Service and amenities receive varied feedback; professional staff and a diverse breakfast are highlights, while experiences of inefficiency and additional charges for amenities leave some guests feeling underwhelmed.

The modern hotel tower offers relatively spacious, well appointed rooms and modern larger bathrooms. Breakfast is good, as is the service in the restaurant.
Its location, just at the modern edge of town in what appears to be an upscale residential area and away from the hustle and bustle of downtown is convenient. Free curbside parking can be found all around the property; otherwise the hotel has a spacious but not cheap parking garage.
Then why not five stars? Because the quality of the personnel is not up to par - they are all friendly, but a number of them - particularly at the front desk - are much less than efficient.

Online check in was possible and the website was quick and easy to navigate. Although, at the hotel, that did not seem to save any time. The reception staff were very courteous and tried to be as quick as possible. The hotel location is great and it’s a very nice looking building. There are quite a few shops nearby for any emergency shopping. The rooms are extremely comfortable and the toiletries provided were of very high quality (Rituals Dao range). Underground secure parking is charged at EUR17 per night, although there are quite a few free street parking available nearby. Overall we had an excellent 2 nights stay and can highly recommend it.

I usually judge hotels based on three criteria: room cleanliness and decor, hotel service overall, and convenience.

Room cleanliness and decor: The room was very spacious and clean. However, the room was starting to show signs of age, with slightly dated decor and things damaged, e.g. a cracked mirror and loose door handle. Also the air conditioning wasn't working, despite reporting it.

Hotel service and amenities: The service was impeccable. The hotel staff were polite and friendly, and always helpful. The only thing that knocked this hotel down was the restaurant breakfast was only OK, and not the variety and quality I would expect from a 4-Star hotel.

Convenience: This is one that would knock this hotel down. I booked this hotel for a conference occuring within the hotel. But it was not close to the town centre and the restaurants around the hotel were 'touristy' and overpriced.

Overall though, a pleasant stay but which did not 'wow' me.

Although this hotel is located on the outskirts of Valencia it more than makes up for this in its internal ambience and room quality. Perfect for a longer stay. Staff are friendly and very helpful. You can catch a bus into the old town or it is around 14€ each way by taxi. This hotel is geared towards the conference sector but is great for anyone.

We stayed at this hotel while visiting Valencia. We requested a high floor and to be fair we were given a high floor.

We were celebrating my girlfriend's 40th birthday and the hotel very kindly sent a happy birthday message with a cake to our room which was a really nice gesture.

The room was nice and spacious with superb views across the city. We were just a few miles away from all the main attractions, so location was very good.

Bathroom was nice with a great power shower and beautiful 'Rituals' complimentary toiletries.

Breakfast had plenty of choice and the only complaint was that the 'hot' food was not hot at all, it was warm at best, other than that all the rest of food choices were really good and very well presented.

We ordered food from the bar one afternoon, which was very nice and reasonably prices.

Staff were very polite and helpful.

Only real complain was it took almost an hour to check in!! There were only two woman at the reception and the checking in procedure seemed to take forever for each client. After a long day travelling the last thing you need in a hotel of this standard is to be queuing up for an hour to check in. We arrived just before 2pm (rooms from 3pm) and were told that rooms were not ready so after all of this time we were told to come back later. We came back a few hours later and still waited for a further 45 minutes before we were finally checked in.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return here again soon, because we just love Valencia!

We stayed in a family room which was very spacious and great value with 2 toilets a sliding door between rooms and a walk in shower. Staff were helpful with efficient check in, parking was on sight and plentiful at 20 euro cost. The hotel was 15 minutes from beach and 10 minutes from old town but there were also nice restaurants in local area. The pool was great although got busy in afternoons.

It was my first time in Valencia and my initial idea was to stay in Melia Plaza, they didn't have rooms available, so I chose Melia Valencia. I couldn't be happier with my selection and for my next trip to Valencia will definitely stay in Melia Valencia again.
The location of the hotel is not city center however close to it all with the Metro station very close. The building is gorgeous. The experience starts with the glass elevators and its great view of the city. The LEVEL lounge staff is very attentive and focused on details. You will receive a very warm welcome from them. The presidential suite is the biggest hotel room I've been at a reasonable price for the size of the room and the amenities it has. The internet works flawlessly. We had some issues with the AC but the maintenance staff promptly took care of it.
If I would improve one thing it would be the menu of the LEVEL lounge, compared to Melia Madrid Princesa it is not at the same level but honestly Valencia has amazing restaurants in every corner, so it doesn't really matter. Looking forward to coming back

Dear Guest, Thank you for this review. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and found our Presidential Suite to be spacious and well-equipped. It's great to know that our attentive Level Lounge staff made a positive impression on you, and that our location near the Metro station was convenient for your visit to Valencia. We appreciate your feedback regarding the menu at the Level Lounge and will take it into consideration for future improvements. As you mentioned, Valencia indeed has a fantastic array of restaurants to explore, and we're glad you had the opportunity to enjoy them. We also apologize for the initial issue with the air conditioning, but we're pleased to know that our maintenance staff promptly resolved it for you. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to our hotel in the future. Kind regards, Ray García, Guest Experience Manager - Meliá Valencia

The Hotel is well located in a popular area surrounded by plenty of restaurants and bars and only a 5 minute walk to the metro station. The interior of the lobby is superb and high class with a fantastic restaurant serving amazing food and a well stocked bar. My family had 3 rooms 1208, 1203 & 2508 although standard bedrooms they where extremely spacious and very modern, especially the bathroom. Mini Fridge is well stocked although we didn’t require it. Beds are large however the mattress was hard so perhaps more comfortable mattress for future are required. A hard mattress however would not stop me returning.

The new pool area is very nice with plenty of sun however they do need more sun beds as 14 isn’t enough for the amount of people who require them in the summer months. Bali beds are very nice and they were free for the first 3 days of our holiday however they started charging 50 euros for them and no one used them so was a completely waste especially with so many people by the pool.

Overall our stay was very good and the staff made it one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Firstly a big thank you goes to Maria Marata on reception wow what a lovely person so genuinely helpful nothing was too much trouble for Maria and she also did everything with a smile. Then at the pool bar and main bar Eliza, Gabriel, Nancho, Jonathan and Sergio absolutely great friendly customer service a credit to Melia Hotels.

Oh and not forgetting the room maids changed the beds and towels and tidied our rooms to a very high standard everyday.

We will be returning in October I just hope the mattress is more comfy.

Thanks again
