Generally the hotel and outside area was clean. Staff were very polite and helpful. It would be helpful if a bus timetable was available and a map to show how to get to the railway station. Restaurant was very good. Bathrooms are looking a little tired. ( we have stayed before).
This was our first trip abroad since "lockdown" was first introduced, so my wife and I were quite nervous about travelling. We'd never been to Calpe before and we really couldn't have picked a better destination for a safe and relaxing holiday. We stayed at the Hotel Ifach, which was in an excellent position close to the beach and harbour. Our room was very comfortable with a large balcony. We had all our meals in the hotel and there was always a wide choice of well prepared food available. The staff in the restaurant and throughout the hotel were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The pool was ideal for us as my wife in a non-swimmer and it was possible to enter the water via a very gentle slope. There was always a pool attendant on duty and the water temperature was fine. There were lots of families with young (pre-school) children at the hotel the week we were there and they seemed to be having a great time. My wife and I are in our 60s and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable break in a safe and friendly resort.…
Every thing about the hotel ( food, accommodation, service and attention from the staff) was excellent. One criticism I have is that, there were a couple of false fire alarms, nothing unusual in that, but when the problem was sorted, there should been a public announcement of the fact that, it was all clear; to put the guests mind at rest. We had to rely on hearsay.
Hotel very good .Close to all amenities. HotelStaff helpful. Very disappointed with Jet 2 rep!! Very rarely at hotel, no details of her visits. No trips available. Notice board full of details of return journeys nothing else. No local information , no local map.
The Hotel is clean and well run throughout. However the all inclusive package offered to SAGA guests is .poor quality . I would suggest either booking a half board or B and B option and using the local bars and restaurants which are of a good standard.
Good size rooms and bathrooms. Big balconies with a great view of the town and the beach. Good food and the staff are friendly. Some renovations needed in the pool areas as well as the jacuzzi in the indoor pool area. The lifts can be slow when the hotel is full.
Hotel in good if quiet location with friendly staff . Rooms nice and large but would benignity from decorating and making more pleasuring to the eye with pictures etc. Food plentiful if lacking in imagination. Not much to do for children over 10 despite being a family hotel. Overall a nice hotel for a quiet holiday.
This hotel is placed in a position where you have access to both beaches and shops...It was fairly quiet in May which was fine for us as a couple. We were half board the breakfast well so much choice and the same in the evening.we will certainly return..
Hi. Myself, my wife and my 6 year old boy have just returned from staying at this hotel, all inclusive for a week at the end of May, beginning of June. I would definately rate and recommend this hotel, but there are pros and cons. Pros: The staff: Really friendly, helpful and accommodating. Great service, and always with a smile. Food: Amazing food, especially if all inclusive, which i would recommend. Endless ammounts of all food, soft drinks and most alcohol. Snacks, ice creams and more drinks between meal times were also available. The area: Well situated. 5 minutes from the beach. Has a really nice pool, an outdoor and an indoor pool. A short walk, or a land train journey to the centre of Calpe, including the old town. Entertainment: The evening entertainment was good. Can't complain. There is also a kids club and a mini disco session in the evenings for the children. Cons: The lifeguards: Not usually a problem for me. However, the hotel uses a private company for their lifeguards, which sees a different lifeguard every day. Each lifeguard unfortunately comes with their own set of rules depending what mood they're in. Some days, anything goes, the next day, they're out to ruin your families fun. No inflatables in the pool, no shirts on in the pool, no toys in the pool.... no fun in the pool. The next day, everythings allowed. Not a major problem, just annoying when your trying to have fun in the pool with your children. Ants and mosquitoes: Mosquities are going to be near places like this in the heat, so the hotel can't help this, but i have been bitten here more than ever throughout each night. THE ANTS.... Oh my God. As each night passed, more and more ants invaded our room from the balcony. Across the floor, up the walls, and even on our beds at times. So many that the staff had to change rooms for us. The second room was even worse, seeing hundreds of ants each night across our floor. The more the staff tried to get rid of them, the more the ants came! Not good for anyone, especially when you have children! I liked this hotel, and i would love to stay again, but the ant problem was so bad, that it actually put me off from wanting to come back. I can only imagine with the Summer months getting hotter, that the problem would only get worse. The ants really were that bad unfortunately. However, if you like ants, then everything else should be a win.…
Really nice hotel, pleasantly surprised, it has a saga element to it but also plenty of kids, so a mixed bag of clientele. Food was excellent and something for all, kept two adults and 3 kids happy. Rooms are large with large balcony for afternoon sun large bathroom too and easily accommodated a family of five. Aircon was fine with a bit of adjustment. The hotel gym is probably the best i have come across in a hotel, free weights, bench’s, smith machine, really good 👌 Pool area great, kids loved it, bit cold on getting in bit generally fine. Great location! You are five minute walk, if that, from playa den fossa beach, lovely beach and esplanade, all in all a great little resort. Aqualandia is definitely worth a visit with the kids.
