We weren't sure whether to choose a big hotel on the beach or an intimate boutique hotel in the Old Town. The decision came down to being around the Old Town in the evenings as we wanted to be around the history of the town. Our decision was the best. This hotel is a gem. The rooms are unique and comfortable. Super mattresses and a very good night's sleep. The staff are attentive and welcoming without being overbearing. You feel very special. The rooftop terrace was a magical spot. Someone has created a grotto up there and it has a great essence. And this is where we had our substantial and very tasty breakfast each morning. Simply wonderful.
Beautiful little hotel in the old town (nice and quiet) with superbly decorated roof terrace for breakfast/evening drinks. Breakfast was also fab with traditional Spanish style fair. Nothing was too much trouble.
I love this hotel! Got myself the best sleep I have had for a while! The most peaceful & quiet hotel I have stayed! Love everything about it! The perfect location, the set up of the rooms although small but with a good size bathroom! I stayed a week on my own and was upgraded to a room with balcony. The room was adorable, the whole place is decorated nicely. The staffs were lovely and very helpful and the complimentary coffee and water were very nice. Central to wonderful restaurants, supermarket, beach, new town and the bus stop. Even found myself the municipal swimming pool which allowed me some wonderful indoor swim. Intend to return soon.
This lovely little hotel in Calpe’s charming old town is an absolute delight. I’ve just stayed here for 4 nights and can’t recommend it more highly. All the staff are extremely attentive and make it their mission to ensure all guests have a great stay with them. My room was small but well designed and impeccably clean and well equipped. There are lovely Moroccan style touches throughout the hotel, especially on the lovely roof terrace where a sumptuous breakfast spread is served. The old town is quiet at this time of year, so I slept soundly on the extremely comfortable bed. I can’t recommend this lovely hotel more highly, and I’m looking forward to staying again soon.
We checked into room 9 today. The rooms are bijou, beautiful, very clean and have everything one would require. We received a wonderful welcome on arrival and were efficiently checked in. The location is fabulous, you are amongst the locals of the old town and and a nice 9 minute stroll to the beach. There is an array of restaurants for dinner within minutes of Terra de Mar. We have a cute balcony that you can sit and read or watch the locals pass by calling out hola to their neighbours. I recommend this boutique hotel. Bernadette Gallivan
I have visited Calpe many times for the day but only ventured to the beach and the new town. Decided to book this hotel and stay overnight to visit the old town. Do not be put off at the title of Hostel as this is more a boutique Hotel. I was amazed when showed to my room for the price. Had a balcony with small table and chairs , ok there was no view but I was not there to sit all day on the balcony. The room and the bathroom also the communal rooms. The old town with its history and restaurants are right on your doorstep . Down the hill around ten fifteen min walk is the beach and the main prom . Supermarkets on the way down . limited continental breakfast is 11 euro extra per person , maybe cheaper to go to one of the local cafes ? I will definately be returning .
This little hotel is really quirky. Staff are very friendly and location is great for restaurants and bars in the old town and only a 10-15 min walk to the beach. Tea and coffee in the room and the supply of cakes etc. on the roof terrace are a bonus. The roof terrace is lovely and free pigeon watching for entertainment! However, we paid €10 extra per night to have a balcony which we did not use. It was tiny, overlooked, never in the sun and looked over a noisy street. Also, we were glad that it was not too hot as the aircon unit was over the door, was not powerful and completely useless as it was nowhere near the bed.
To start I rarely give full 5 stars - it really has to hit the mark to achieve that and this place certainly did : Spotless Free parking nearby (public parking and the staff will direct you) Relaxed feel Spacious room Noise reducing double glazed Private balcony Shared delightful roof terrace Well presented rooms Lovely en-suite Very welcoming staff Friendly staff Comfortable bed Air con The only downside was a steep hill from the beach but that is not the fault of the hotel and only referred to here to assist fellow travellers plan. Regardless of the hill it is only a short walk to the beach (which is stunning); is next to the “old town” and accessible to bars and restaurants. This is a highly recommended and affordable residence. Thank you for allowing us to stay. …
We stayed at this very small, intimate , quirky hotel in the old town in Calpe for a couple of days. It was absolutely wonderful . We had two lovely balconies overlooking a typical Spanish old town street. The breakfast is the best I’ve had in terms of originality , quality, attention to detail, just fabulous. Romona, one of the hosts was extremely helpful and spoke very good English. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a flavour of Spain with lovely accommodation.
My husband and I stayed in this little place in September 2018. All the rooms have different themes - ours was African. It was at the back of the hotel and had a balcony. The breakfast is set up in the terrace at the top of the hotel. It was perfectly adequate, even for a fussy vegetarian like myself! It is set up in the historic part of the town. There are plenty of restaurants close by. It is worth the walk down to the beach to investigate the other restaurants. Finally, All the staff at this hotel are extremely helpful. However, Ramona, you are fantastic! Hope to see you again soon.
