Room was nice, clean, large, and trendy - everything was functional. We had a balcony with a good view. The breakfast was great. The staff was very helpful with some good recommendations for local dining. Hotel has a roof top lounge and pool and gets quite busy with a trendy and good looking crowd. The location is very central with...

Best part was assistance provided by Christopher at front desk! He was very helpful, polite and took the time to answer our questions about Madrid, etc. Only negative part of hotel is that there is a 20 euro charge per person (hotel guest) to use the rooftop pool, bar and lounge. There is no indication of this in the hotel...

Location is great.. in the trendy and very gay part of the city, with excellent connections to the city centre. The pool is lovely.. My only gripe is the breakfast room, which in really a night time place - used as the main restaurant in the evenings. I suggest that breakfasts should be served in the ground floor cafe, as...

Unfortunately the air conditioning is kept too high (lack of any places in Madrid). To move the lift requires the room card and this is not practical. The reception staff is friendly, cordial, helpful and very kind. Ciao Carlo Falchi

I recommend this hotel to anyone wants to stay in the center of Madrid, in the heart of Chueca district close to the bars, clubs, restaurants, shopping street, etc as well as to the historical monuments. Nice service for a reasonable price with healthy breakfast!

The hotel looks awesome and funky , the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The included breakfast is very fresh and complete and a good way to start your day. The location is great in the heart of La Chueca and it's incredible nightlife. The rooms are very well isolated and you can't hear anything from all the party that's...

FANTASTIC hotel staff with great recommendations. Location of hotel was excellent for visiting The Prado, but otherwise okay. We not thrilled with the orange color room and shower, just too orange for a few nights stay. Had a nice quiet sleep, however windows only opened a few inches, so you felt a bit closed in, and room would get stuffy....

Staying in Chueca

Neighbourhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
