This little gem is smack in the middle of Madrid City. You exit the walking straight onto the very popular Rua Grand Via. To the left you can turn to shop until you drop and to the right to take in the cultural sites. The food in the area is varied with tappas the most popular but not necessary fit...

Great location, calm atmosphere and quiet place. Not big, not fancy but clean and more than enough. Air conditioned too and tv in the private room, which is nice! I definitely want to go there when I come back to visit the city, since I only went to spend the night this time.

We stayed 3 nights in a twin room at Hostal Valencia - the room was bigger than we expected and the bathroom was tiny but the location was great - right next to Calleo metro station on the lovely Gran Via and walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. It was noisy at times as we were close to...

Spent 4 nights here, great value for money on Gran Via. Don't be put off by the entrance this is a lovely place to stay, basic but clean rooms with a rustic atmosphere. Right by Callao Metro so not far from anywhere in the city.

Really easy to find when you arrived from metro station ( the metro was really difficult). Is in front plaza Callao, really centric place you can walk to the monuments, tours, shopping, eating, entertainment. The staff is very friendly, the room are clean and disinfected. The only bad thing is the noise of the gran via, specially at night. Besides...

The Hostal at the perfect Location. Very close you have underground station. its right in city centre and you can see all the monuments at a walkable distance. We stayed there for three days in a triple room with a balcony. For that price quality wasn't not bad. Nice view, there are many shops around, the big shopping mall and the market, casino, bars, club and other entertainmens. It is suitable for those who want to live in the center but at the same time, do not spend...

Staying in Malasana

Neighbourhood Profile
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
