Wonderful little hotel. Room was very comfortable. Midday snack buffet was wonderful and we saved on one meal a day. Location made it perfect to walk to the Prado and the Royal palace. We will return!
This is a wonderful hotel, centrally located in a beautiful city. We arrived early from our overseas flight and were graciously welcomed. Our room wasn't ready, but our bags were safely stowed until we had access to the room around 1:00 p.m. Our room was quiet, spacious and had an outdoor patio. The breakfast choices were extensive and service was kind. The complimentary snacks and coffee bar were a welcomed perk after our daily tours. Kind service, great location. Many good restaurants nearby. We hope to return one day. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay.
An exceptional hotel! My friends and I spent our first part of our travel in Spain with Catalonia Las Cortes, where we had an amazing stay! Everyone at the hotel made every effort to make our stay a memorable one. The hotel is centrally located
excellent location, spotlessly clean, quiet…and what makes this hotel even more exceptional is the STAFF. professional, knowledgeable, approachable at all times, warm and friendly-as appropriate. this is THE only hotel we would return to in the future. we have experienced, in our travels, how much the staff at a hotel can contribute to the enjoyment of a trip. and so… a special thank you to: monica, javier, mariano, mohammed, pedro.
It would have been a much better experience, had it not been for the strong smell of smoke in the room and especially bathroom. Staff said they would send the cleaning team to rectify the situation. I dont know if they did, but the smell didnt go away. And they shouldnt have sent guests into a room lile this im the first place. Unfortunate, really. Havent had to deal with this issue even at more basicnhotels im a very long time.
So quiet but when you step out of the door you are in the heart of things. Loads of bars and restaurants nearby. The perfect location. The hotel is very clean and the building is stunning. The free afternoon snack buffet is a real plus
Perfect in all aspects. Best hotel in excellent area. Not only madrid is the best city in the world but also have such a treat in the hotel… who can ask for more? We are already planning the next visit מווושלם רמה גבוהה במיוחד. מלון מפנק באיזור מעולה
Back again for probably the 4th or 5th time. I love this small elegant hotel. The location can't be beat - walk to almost anywhere in historic Madrid. Breakfast is excellent and they have complimentary tapas in the afternoon for guests. It is a short walk to many restaurants also
We arrived in Madrid four days before we were to join a hiking and wine tour with Explore Worldwide. For our pre-tour stay I decided to stay in a nicer hotel than the tour hotel. Scanning the TA reviews led me to this hotel and I was very pleased with this choice. The hotel was a comfortable walking distance from several sites like Plaza Mayor and the Royal Palace. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay. The first day we were returning to the hotel using Calle Echegaray street and popped into w wine shop called Licores Cabella. I was pretty unfamiliar with the Spanish wines; the worker spoke excellent English and she asked me a few questions and steered me to an excellent Rioja at about 10 Euros. I returned to this store two more times.…
We had a Superior room, I think. It was fantastic. The bathroom and room are large. It faced the street but had double, double glazed doors which meant it was dead quiet at night. The bed was massive and one of the most comfortable we had in Spain! Staff were friendly and efficient, and the hotel was very well located. Highly recommended.
