I stayed in this hotel with my husband. Here is what I have to stay + Positives + The locality of the hotel is really good. There are a lot of good bars, restaurants around. And, the shopping street is right there + The staff are really good. Specially, Alberto who handles the front desk. He helped us around quite...

I've given this hotel 5*, not because it's the best hotel in Madrid, obviously it isn't, but it was great considering what I paid for a weekend in such a great central location. You know what you are going to get in an Ibis. Clean, comfortable basic rooms, in a good location with really comfortable beds. It was very quiet...

Functional hotel that is clean with an excellent buffet breakfast and good location 5 minutes walk from the city centre and 1 minute from the metro.. But best of all the reception staff are brilliant! They recommend great local restaurants that don`t cost the earth that then provide fabulous food and a welcome to visitors from the UK

We came and stayed in this hotel for a few days at the beginning of June and we were really impressed! Ideally located opposite the metro station and in walking distance of the Gran Via. The rooms were spatious and very clean and breakfast in the morning was lovely. Staff on reception were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely...

You can't expect much from a two star hotel, but after paying half the price at a hotel near Sol I would expect a small fridge and a safe in the room. The other hotel had those things. All in all, good service, helpful staff and plenty of space.

The hotel is in city and 15 minutes to the attraction points. It's a nice hotels but around a bit noise but very easy to go everywhere. Downstairs with a lot of cafe, restaurant, supermarkets I can go for. However, the hotel key cards need further improve as I changed more than 2 times.

I have stayed in Ibis hotels before, and this was far, far better. The location is great, very near a metro station, lots of restaurants in the street, and a relaxed, slightly hipster neighbourhood to wander around and enjoy. The room was not huge but well equipped and spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed. Do not expect roomy cupboards,...

There are several Ibis hotels in Madrid, but if one is there as a tourist it makes sense to stay in this one even if it is slightly costlier than the ones on the city outskirt as Madrid is a big city and distances are large. This Ibis is almost in the heart of the city with lots of eating...

Staying in Malasana

Neighbourhood Profile
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
