Excellent boutique hotel in a quiet neighbourhood. Good sized room with nice bathroom. Powerful shower, good quality amenities, decent hairdryer and bathroom scales. Bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was quiet and very effective which was a blessing with 37 degrees C outside. Helpful and welcoming staff on the front desk. Breakfast was nice - continental with omelette and scrambled eggs cooked to order. Excellent orange juice and coffee. One small comment - the glass roof needs cleaning! Would certainly return if visiting Madrid again.
The Pavilions hotel is a great little hotel in Madrid. From the moment we arrived the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are roomy(especially based on European standards), clean and well equipped with anything you'd need. They even had a scale in each room, which normally you wouldn't want during a vacation, but they came in handy to weigh our suitcases before returning home. The bathrooms are spacious with great water pressure in the shower! They could maybe provide a little more shower gel each day, but that is minor. While we didn't eat in their restaurant the breakfast buffet is quite reasonable at 12.50 Euro. However, their coffee is delicious and Gema at the restaurant was super-friendly, conversational and a great ambassador for the hotel. The surrounding area is safe, easy to walk around with restaurants and shops. An 8 minute walk away is a small market, with great food and a restaurant called Casa Dani which specializes in Tortilla(As seen on Somebody Feed Phil!) Whenever we go to Madrid, we'll be staying here.…
I have stayed nearly half a dozen times at the Pavilions Madrid for work in the past three months, and found the standards to be consistently high: attentive staff, well appointed accommodation, and above all a smooth, pleasant stay.
Our room was very comfortable, and the bathroom was especially good. It had a large shower with excellent water pressure and the hotel provided very good bath amenities. The hotel’s location is also very good, as it is a reasonable walk to the Retiro gardens and the Prado museum.
The service was lousy. Really the rooms are not good and they don't have much to offer. As soon as I arrived, I asked for my money to be returned to change places, but it was impossible. Whoever decides to go to this site I recommend that you keep your expectations low. I would never go back.
I have been staying at this hotel for years. It is in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Staff is conversant in many languages and extremely attentive. Location is close enough to tourist attractions without the throngs of people. Lots of dining establishments at all levels.
Excellent location, in one of the most luxurious neighborhoods in Madrid; quiet zone but with a wide variety of restaurants, enormous and clean room and amazing staff. We'll come back for sure in our next trip to Madrid!
Not possible to get a coffee in the lobby in the afternoon so maybe the cafeteria needs to open higher hours. Maybe good if cleaning service provides service during the afternoon (if you take a shower during the day no service until next day)
We stayed at The Pavilions for one night to get an early morning flight home. It is a small but chic upscale hotel - comfy beds and everything you need. Beautiful breakfast room/restaurant with delicious and generous breakfast. Very quiet and in a quiet residential area just a few blocks from good and fun restaurants and bars. Great stay!
I just discovered this hotel and sure i will repeat my stay for next time. It has a very good location and one of the safest in Madrid just in front of interior ministry. At only 10 min walking to Serrano.
