Staff nice, hotel very clean and good overall service. However room very noisy due to busy road and AC is only switched in summer. Heat was unbearable! When I spoke to reception was told that this is because it is not normal for this time of the year to get hot weather! I don't feel this is acceptable and should...

Warmly received and given a pleasant room in back of hotel with panoramic city views. I really slept so well unaware that i was in Madrid centre. As a Platinum member a most pleasant gift arrived to the room---i did not have breakfast. Carpets and furniture generally very shabby. Metro is outside the door---ANTON MARTIN. I look forward to returning.

The hotel is very modern. Easy access from the airport or city center. The staff is friendly, rooms are comfortable but a little bit too warm (we were in february) The bathroom was big and clean. Hotel is very close to Reina Sofia museum and to Prado and some quiet recreation areas.

Nice clean room so close to Prado and centre of Madrid. Excellent free wifi. Awesome breakfast choice (scrambled egg and smoked salmon a favourite). Pretty good price for a very nice stay. Good for local restaurants and bars.

We booked here last minute in February and we able to get a family room, with two double beds and two bunk beds. There was plenty of room for my family of 4 and it was in a specific family floor what was very quiet. The room or hotel are not amazing, but it was clean, bathroom clean, staff very...

This is a 2 star hotel masquerading as a 4 star hotel. The first challenge was to find one's room which was done by navigating a rabbit warren of corridors and actually ending up in a different building. Beds were just adequate. At 2:30 a.m. each morning the garbage truck would arrive and wake the dead. This was followed by...

Central location. This hotel is nice for both business travellers and leisure. The breakfast has a good variety to choose from. The female irene was courteous and helped me with arrangements and dining establishments. The customer should have the option of controlling temp in rooms. I turned off heat but it seemed to still blow heat. Also invest in gym...

Negative: Very small room with view to an inner court. It appears that the next building from the view through the window is only some meters. Positive: Breakfast has a wide variation. Warm welcome at check in desk.

The Parkin space is a bit small and the wifi is as slow as you would expect but besides that it was a nice experience. Spacious rooms, nice service, close to many restaurants, to a metro station and points of interest.

Staying in Huertas

Neighbourhood Profile
Huertas
Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The neighbourhood is committed to celebrating its rich heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas receives a fair amount of spillover from the center — side streets around Plaza Santa Ana take on a foreign party atmosphere at night, and you always see young backpackers navigating the streets — but as you descend into the neighbourhood, everything becomes a little more cramped and slightly less refined, and takes on more of an underground feel. Live music is at the heart of Huertas: by night, its subdued bars are ideal for meeting friends, sipping cocktails, and chatting quietly while enjoying jazz or singer-songwriter performances.
