The location is nice with huge amount of restaurants around. It is also in a nice location close to the main sights of the city. The rooms are named according to Spanish wine areas, the used colors are very bright. Service was ok and a reasonable breakfast included in the price.

hotel is a pleasant 15 minute walk from Atocha railway station, where the airport bus runs to, and in a great neighbourhood awash with bars, restaurants, bakeries, all you could want. Puerta del Sol is a main square no more than a 10 minute walk away, from where all the shops start. hotel itself bright & stylish, the room clean...

We were on the way to Costa del sol and will like to stay one night in Madrid. The hotel is nice and clean and the staff is friendly. The only remark that I have is a bit noisy AC unit and bathroom that is easy to flooded by shower water.

The hotel room is very nice and silent. The hotel has also a private parking. The breakfast was vary but poor like no scramble eggs. The receptionists are very nice. You don't have free bar in the room, there is an automatic machine just at the entrance of the reception.

For my first stay in Madrid over Christmas and New Year, this hotel was a wonderful find. I was welcomed with a lovely tin of marzipan cakes in my room. The room is beautifully decorated and was spotlessly clean. For New Year I was given a lovely small bottle of champagne and the customary 12 grapes to eat as the...

This is a fairly cheap no frills place that has the best location in town for a tourist visit. Easy walking to Prado or all the way on the other side to the Royal Palace. Close to Huertas as well which is a nice walk with some fun squares along the way. Room was clean.

Madrid is a very clean and nice place to visit. I loved it from the very 1st day. We took the Hop in Hop off bus to be able to see all the tourist spots. 3 days wasn't enough but we tried our best to be able to see the major tourist places in the City. It was safe to...

We do like the concept of this ibis Styles hotel as a smart boutique hotel with a good continental breakfast in Madrid centre area. The location is easy to get around to all Madrid tourist sightseeing places also within a good distance walk to and from the main high speed train(AVE) station(Atocha). We do recommend this hotel if you plan...

Staying in Huertas

Neighbourhood Profile
Huertas
Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The neighbourhood is committed to celebrating its rich heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas receives a fair amount of spillover from the center — side streets around Plaza Santa Ana take on a foreign party atmosphere at night, and you always see young backpackers navigating the streets — but as you descend into the neighbourhood, everything becomes a little more cramped and slightly less refined, and takes on more of an underground feel. Live music is at the heart of Huertas: by night, its subdued bars are ideal for meeting friends, sipping cocktails, and chatting quietly while enjoying jazz or singer-songwriter performances.
