Terrific little hotel with great service. Our room, 207, was a corner room so not cramped. Good breakfast, excellent coffee. It rained on our first and second days and staff put out good quality umbrellas for guests. Snack area in lobby reasonably priced. Small library/conference room on ground floor offered a place to read with complimentary tea and instant coffee....

I stayed in Ibis Styles Madrid on the 6th floor(top floor). The rooms are very nice with a small little balcony for 2 people to enjoy a drink. Its very conveniently located whether you want to go to the Madrid palace or Gran Via, Plaza Mayor or want to just have some Indian food closeby. There are a lot of...

Modern clean hotel. We were given an upgrade into one of the two rooms on the top floor. Large room with big comfy bed and great walk in shower. Room had it's own roof top terrace with table and chairs. Breakfast is more than adequate. Calle del Prado is one of the best locations to stay in Madrid, walking distance...

Good breakfast but thin walls, very basic room with window to an indoor staircase, and toilet with transparent glass door and wall (not frosted glass). No problem for me because I was there alone.. Prado is the best area to stay when you are a tourist.

The front-desk staff were super helpful and friendly. I like the Ibis Styles properties because they are simple and clean while being just a notch above the Ibis budget brand. While I don't recommend the breakfast (edible but not good and the worst coffee I've ever had in Spain), I like most everything else about this hotel.

The staff were very helpfull and kind.. The room was a good size, bed was comfortable. How ever with no carpet on the floor the noise was amplefid One could hear every thing going on in the rooms either side of you and above. The plumbing was also noisy.

Staying in Huertas

Neighbourhood Profile
Huertas
Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The neighbourhood is committed to celebrating its rich heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas receives a fair amount of spillover from the center — side streets around Plaza Santa Ana take on a foreign party atmosphere at night, and you always see young backpackers navigating the streets — but as you descend into the neighbourhood, everything becomes a little more cramped and slightly less refined, and takes on more of an underground feel. Live music is at the heart of Huertas: by night, its subdued bars are ideal for meeting friends, sipping cocktails, and chatting quietly while enjoying jazz or singer-songwriter performances.
