The room the food the service has been first rate, the little touches have made this hotel one of my all time favourites, after exploring Madrid in 40 degree heat the welcome at the end of the day , a cold water as you walk in and a perfect air conditioned room with the most comfortable ammenities.
Design is all around the place! The hotel is really nice, the rooms are spacious with great lighting you can also dim. One of the most comfortable bed and variety of pillows to choose from. Great music sound. Very helpful staff at reception. Good location near Atocha, Lavapides, Sol is 15 minutes walk. TIP: be very careful when walking around Madrid and sitting in restaurants at open air - there are a lot of thiefs. My colleague was stoled her iPhone 12pro from the restaurant table for second from a male who was asking for money.
Excellent stay in Madrid. We had never been to Madrid before so had no idea what to expect. When we checked in staff were helpful and informative, they took our luggage up to the room and gave us ice cold water whilst completing the check in. The room was beautiful and I loved the Hard Rock theming throughout the hotel. The beds were comfy and the room was immaculate. We visited the rooftop bar to watch the sunset - must see. Breakfast was good though I found it limited but my partner really enjoyed it - think it’s personal preference and would not let that detract from the hotel. Check out was smooth and we utilised the luggage room. The pool area was lovely as well.
Those that read my reviews know that I love a HRC and this was our first time in a HRH. We arrived by car and despite good communication by the hotel before our visit, it would have been helpful to have had driections to the car park as there is no drop off point on the main street in front at the main entrance. Check in was fine and our room was very nice with a large comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. As it was 40 degrees plus outside we whiled away some time at the bar in the foyer. Service was excellent (as usual with HR's) but I felt the bar lacked a bit of atmosphere and felt too much part of the reception area. We had dinner at Sessions restaurant (reviewed separately) After dinner we went to the rooftop restaurant and I was disappointed. Service a bit slow and music that did not say Hard Rock to me. Music is subjective, I realise that, but a DJ adding a very annoying and repetetive base line to well known songs just doesn't do it for me and certainly not what I would associate with my many visits to HRC's .…
I had a few hours to spare, after a trip to London. I was like why not go to Spain. Upon my arrival I was taken very good care of by Maria, Diandra, Raphiel and Alvaro. It was a very welcoming experience. Overall this property is the place to be in Madrid. Hard Rock actually got it right.
The hotel room itself is very spacious. The shower in particular is HUGE and the rain shower head is incredible after a long day of walking around in Madrid’s heat. The location is good - about a 20 minute cab ride from the airport (30 euro flat rate) and a quick walk to the metro and main train station of Madrid - Atocha. We walked to Plaza Mayor from the hotel and it took only about 15-20 minutes depending on our pace. Lots of things to see and do - plenty of shops to get food, souvenirs, etc. Very helpful front desk personnel and the hotel was spotless.
New location, very clean and very warm to welcome any type of tourists, Keeping the traditional trendy Hard Rock atmosphere, the hotel offers all you need, all with a very cozy feeling, and professional staff ready to help with everything always with a smile. A world-class restaurant, private pool, a rooftop bar that offers astonishing views, Hard Rock Hotel Madrid is the place you'd like to stay when visiting the city. Thank you for the good memories!
The location is great. Very close to Atocha rail station and Estacion del Arte for the Metro. And a stone's throw from the Reina Sofia Museum. The classic room (at least our first one) is a good size and very well-designed indeed, both aesthetically and functionally. In fact probably the best designed I have ever slept in (and the bed and air conditioning ensured we slept very well indeed). We enjoyed the Hard Rock vibe but that had nothing to do with our choice. For us it is simply all we would wish for in a hotel in Madrid. There were some niggles but I have every confidence that the management will sort them out, such was the staff's attentiveness to our needs (a special call out to Victor, but that maybe just because he was the one we dealt with the most). Problem 1: we ate in the Sessions restaurant: the food was not bad although my secretos were overcooked - in my experience restaurants that can afford a Josper oven have the staff to use it well, alas not the case here. But much worse was the chaotic service: while the servers were engaging and ready to discount the cost for the many things that went wrong we were too nervous to return. (Happily there is Nubel across the road for those who want to eat close to their room.) Problem 2: checking back into the hotel late one night we found our toilet flushing noisily constantly, so that we could sleep we were quickly moved into another room and went to sleep before we noticed the bed was really short (319 is clearly one of the smaller Classic rooms into which they could not fit a proper king-size bed. For people shorter than 1 m 78 cm it should not be a problem, so as long as the room is properly described no one should have any complaints.) These were not the only problems - the TV sound and the sink drainage occasion was problematic. But I have every confidence these will be fixed, such was the professionalism of all the staff. All said, we are already looking forward to return as we love Madrid and live close enough to visit easily.…
I booked this hotel for three nights in July based on the great reviews. I was very happy here! The hotel is brand new with lots of cool design elements. The room I had was small but very well designed and the bed was comfortable. The location is perfect; I walked everywhere and it was great to spend the afternoons at the pool. I liked the hotel so much that I have already booked for three more nights when I return to Madrid.
Absolutely awful service from start to finish, please look at the cameras at 4.20pm on Sunday 17th July and what happened to my wife and the response of Adam behind the bar... His response to the accident was to simply ask us how we wanted to pay the drinks bill. Unbelievable and no concern about if she was OK. Obviously the furniture in the reception is not fit for purpose by being old and worn out. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone
