The location was great to walk places, the staff was very friendly and helpful as I didn't speak Spanish. Rooms were nice and clean. I was traveling alone and room was perfect for me! I had breakfast included and breakfast buffet was good. I wanted location as a first priority and this was perfect. It was quiet at night also.

We had the pleasure of being in Madrid for a few days and stayed at the Hotel Preciados. It is extremely well located. The rooms are modern, nicely appointed, and very comfortable. The hotel staff goes out of their way to be accommodating. We were able to walk to just about everything we wanted to see. I would definitely stay...

The hotel is super clean, near everything that really matters, starts from public transportation , pubs, restaurants and just 3 minutes walk from Gran Via. There's a refill for the minibar everyday(drinks) and cleaning the room everyday as well. There's a safe(for free ) in the room only disadvantage is that not everyone at the reception were kind. most of...

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in March 2017. Perfect location, walking distance to most of the major attractions and shopping areas. The room is small but is perfect for a few days, our room was on the 3rd floor and had two balconies. Really cosy bed, good shower, complimentary mini bar is a nice touch. Air...

Excellent classic hotel. Very friendly staff. Perfect cleaning. Shower water tap is old, it is wear and not working properly. I immediately informed the staff, they didn't fix it. With few Euros investment they may solve the issue with a new modern tap set.

My husband has MS and uses a walker. As such, he needs a shower where he does not need to step over a bathtub -- lifting his legs that high is not easy at all. In addition, the room has to be arranged so that there is room to park his walker where it doesn't get in the way of...

Loved our stay. Great location. Helpful and warm staff. Not a huge room but totally fine for two. Complimentary beverages in room fridge plus wine delivered at night. Ample and well presented breakfast. Would love to definitely stay again.

A good hotel in the heart of Madrid, with friendly staff and a good breakfast. Very accessible by any means of transport (did not try to park a car though). Very fresh and clean. I would gladly recommend this hotel to my friends.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Madrid. Convenient to most areas. Incredibly quiet rooms with blackout shades. Free drinks in the minibar were great. Beds were comfortable. Couldn't be happier with our choice.

I have spent three nights in the hearth of Madrid enjoying the "Preciados experience". Very well located in the hearth of the Spanish capital, this Hotel is really close to everything: Gran Via, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Palacio Real, Plaza De España....so that I never used the public transportation to move from one attraction to the other. The quality...

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
