This hotel was dirty and smelly and very noisy. It smelled of bad drains. No shower , just a hose on bath taps. not enough sockets in the room. The walls are paper thin. I could not wait to get out of it. We only stayed for one night.

A bit run down, the whole place and inside the room especially the bathroom. Not great if you are looking for a luxurious stay and/or some more upscale service. Wifi did not work well. But the location is very convenient, right on Metro and near the central pedestrian zone of Madrid

The best part about this apartment hotel is it's location. It's only a small 10 minutes walk from Gran Via which is one of the most happening streets of Madrid. There are shopping malls like Primark and many other important buildings here. The lane which leads to Gran Via is also quite a walk in itself as there are shops...

Nice and quiet hotel. They offer small apartments fully equiped with kitchenette, refrigerator, microwave, tv cable and private bathrooms. The hotel is reasonably near the most important sites of Madrid. Clean, safe environment.

Not a big adventure in holiday terms. Just a quick get away and back home again. The Aparthotel offers not much more than a centrally based location and a decent bed to rest up after a gruelling day in the Madrid heat only 28 going 32 for the week.

Not good enough. I am not impresed. Some members of staff don't speak English. Maybe all of them? Who knows? This is unacceptable in XXI century cosmopolitan nations we live in! Interiors are old fashion and need new design or forniture. Staff needs more trainings or to exchange for new one. The same in many other hotels, bars, shops in...

The staff were very friendly and helpfull but the room was basic, just somewhere to sleep. They provide tea and coffee in the room but no kettle so we had to use the microwave to heat the water. There are no knobs for the electric hob so presumeably you had to pay to use it.Small 15" tv and had to unplug...

When we first arrived we had to wait 3 hours to be able to get into our room and the facility they had to store luggage was not secure so had to carry our luggage in the pouring rain and ended up sitting in McDonald's for the majority of time. Our safe in the room never worked so had to...

Staying in Malasana

Neighbourhood Profile
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
