You cannot get a better location or nicer hosts than here! We arrived after long overnight flight and were greeted with coffee and the opportunity to leave our stuff there and go out sightseeing. Both my husband and myself have limited "range" of walking and so a location that is not more than 5-10 minutes from anywhere we wanted to...

After a long delayed flight we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Everything about Artistic B&B is memorable from the beautiful room that was full of charm and character to the delicious breakfasts made for the guests each morning. It was a very friendly introduction to Spain and allowed us great sleeps in the comfortable beds with no outside noise....

We had a really great time at Artistic B&B in March. Big thanks for Paola and Rodolfo! Thank you again for your warm hospitality! You were very kind and helpful and your B&B is a really cosy place. We liked the style and the colour of the rooms. Greetings from Hungary!

Rudolph and Paola (hosts) are just delightful, as was our stay at Artistic B and B. Our two nights with them came at the end of our two week trip to Spain. We'd spent 4 nights earlier in the trip in a nice hotel in Madrid, but it was not near as much fun as being in the heart of...

How lucky were we to find this gem! My nine year old and I are on our last night of a one week visit and couldn't imagine having found a better place to stay. The location is amazing - a beautiful street lined with 4 story buildings in a mix of small shops, restaurants, lodging and residential use. It is...

We stayed three nights last weekend and would not hesitate to recommend this lovely Madrid bed and breakfast. Paola and Rudolph were charming and friendly hosts. All the main museums and places of interest are within walking distance so we didn't need to use the metro or buses. Likewise there are hundreds of restaurants nearby but if you are struggling...

Me and my wife spent 3 nights here in 'the bird room' in February 2014 and loved it. The decor is full of character and the location is fantastic for all the galleries and close to the centre of town. We managed to walk to most destinations and rarely had to use the metro. Also breakfast was great and it...

Me and my sister visited Artistic B&B in July. We were the first Turkish visitors :). The owners are really friendly. We loved the colors, artistic touch in every room. It was a cosy place. Breakfasts were really good with homemade bread, cake, etc. I adored it :)

I stayed at the Artistic B & B early last year and must apologise for the lateness of this review. I've just got around to being a reviewer and I'm playing catch up! However I still think of the great stay I had for four days in January. For the first three days I had the smaller single room. Really...

Staying at this b and b made our Madrid trip even more memorable. Great location for sightseeing. Paola and Rudolph were wonderful hosts--charming, informative, helpful--and good cooks! They warn you in advance about the lack of elevator so if you have heavy bags or can't do stairs, then it's not the place for you. Would definitely return.

Staying in Huertas

Neighbourhood Profile
Huertas
Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The neighbourhood is committed to celebrating its rich heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas receives a fair amount of spillover from the center — side streets around Plaza Santa Ana take on a foreign party atmosphere at night, and you always see young backpackers navigating the streets — but as you descend into the neighbourhood, everything becomes a little more cramped and slightly less refined, and takes on more of an underground feel. Live music is at the heart of Huertas: by night, its subdued bars are ideal for meeting friends, sipping cocktails, and chatting quietly while enjoying jazz or singer-songwriter performances.
