The hotel is in a good location, next to Retiro Park. Although there is a nearby train station, you can conveniently stroll 15-20 minutes to the city centre which we did daily without fuss. We were initially provided with a twin room despite requesting a double but this was quickly rectified by staff and we were very happy with the...

Well I have really liked my time at this hotel but I will start with a major criticism - it has been very hot this week in Madrid and our room has never been less than 25C. The air conditioning is not available until May . this seems quite ridiculous to me for a hotel that is aspiring to be...

Beautifully renovated hotel in the middle od Salamanca and neighboring the amazing Retiro Park. The rooms are spacious, rooftop terrace is great for an afternoon lounging. Service at the lobby could improve; was slow and the cakes were not up-to-par, for a 4-star hotel. Restaurant could improve cheese and vegetable selection at breakfast. Pool was closed until May, regardless of...

Located in a quiet area but with a 15 minute walk in the beautiful "Parco del Buen retiro"you arrive at the Museum of the Prado. The Terrace has a stunning view. The staff is friendly and polite. The room was very clean, bed comfortable and the breakfast perfect.

Just got back after a 4 night break at this very stylish, clean, modern hotel! Service and friendliness of the staff is very good and the rooftop terrace bar is great! Only downside was that the temp was 25'c + and we had no air con as was told it was unavailable until May and same with the pool! Whereas...

Perfect hotel only steps away from el retiro park, a rooftop with a bar and a pool. Lots of nice restaurants in the neighborhood, and a short walk away from el prado and gran via and chueco :-) The staff is wonderful and there is a full breakfast buffet

Our room was very clean and comfortable. We had a good view overlooking the city and although we could hear the traffic it didn't disturb our sleep! The bathroom was big with a large shower, shampoos, shower gels, body lotion and a hairdryer. There was a fridge and mini bar in the room but no tea and coffee making facilities....

The hotel have an excellent location, near parque del retiro and puerta de Alcala, it's also very to the train station. The hotel have an amazing rooftop where you can enjoy the view from Madrid and have some drinks. The only downside is that rooms are a bit small if you are traveling on a business trip and you have...

Very clean, comfortable room, nice staff with good english. Nice location in the Salamanca quarter (walking distance to many restaurants and places). Superb rooftop area to have a drink, sunbath and enjoy the panoramic view over Madrid. It only misses slippers in the room and a gym (even a small room with basic equipment would be appreciated)

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
