Excellent hotel, please upgrade to a balcony room if possible, Gran Via views are stunning. Almudena in reception is very helpful, and a very sweet lady. Told us about the surroundings and the free shuttle to Estacion de Atocha. All staff super friendly, room ample and wel lit, all brand new, great amenities, loved the shower.

The staff was helpful, the room was great, beds were comfortable. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Small issue with them not having washcloths at all but overall, it was a pleasant experience & I would definitely stay at this location in the future

Well room 118 must be worst room in hotel. We were booked for a week. On side of building garbage bins open and close all night and day, hammering construction in day. Garbage truck in night. Broken outer door. We asked for room change after first night, unpleasant older woman at front desk offered no sympathy apologies. She found reasons to give us another lousy room. Small bed or on air shaft. My husband is here for another 3 nights, I leave tomorrow. Lets see if anyone reads this and cares to upgrade him to attempt to redeem the hotel. What is wrong w this woman? Sadly, she seems to be the reception manager. The rest of staff are wonderful. I am afraid to think she might train the staff? Ok for perspective, we stayed at the Rui Gran Via for the start of our trip and a4 star hotel in Seville, Granada, and Malaga. All lovely. Here only they give us this room and she seems indifferent to changes. No apologies at all. For more background, this may be my first negative review on tripadvisor. And it was more about the poor customer service from this woman and the less about the hotel itself.

The whole experience of staying in catolonia gran via was simply perfect. The size of the room is perfect, the bed is comfortable, the staff were so kind, and last but not least the location of the hotel can’t be more perfect, i guess it is possibly the best location i ever stayed in Madrid.

The staff is really amazing, they offered us two bedrooms close to each other with flexible checkout because we had a late flight and we were with kids. The shower is one to remember. The decoration is modern but smart. Everything about this hotel is great. Not to mention that is in one of the best locations in Madrid. Definitely will come here again.
