Hostal Huespedes Toledo is a great place to stay for a couple of nights. The location is amazing with all the major sights within walking distance. The room i stayed in was very clean and had all the facilities needed for two nights stay, mainly towels, hairdryer and en suite. The only negative is that the walls are thin so...

We stayed here for one week. The location is very good although the nearest Metro Station is closed for remodeling. We normally walked around 10 minutes to Plaza Del Sol station. The room was basic and small but it was clean. The person in charge was nice and attentive. The only thing that I would improve if I could about...

The first day we got a small room in which the three of us could hardly stand. Only the other day we got biger one. Of course, we did not get any discount. The owners are very sensitive, so they knocked on the wall whenever we had raised voice (actually we were not loud).

My friend and I spent three nights there in last November, it's perfect for short stay, rooms were clean, small and little bit noisy...normal as it is about two steps from Puerta del Sol, the hostal is reachable from Barajas aeroport with one metro ticket ( 2 line changes), it is about 50 meter from Tirso de Molina station...the staff...

The location of Huespedes Toledo is amazing - just about everywhere you would want to go in Madrid is within easy strolling distance. The Hostal itself is in a safe location - you have to buzz to get in - and there is a lift which was really helpful as we had a toddler with us. The building is fabulous...

I will start this by saying this place is exceptional value. If you want 5-star luxury, then you should expect to pay 5-star prices. Positives: Friendly, helpful owners Great location Very clean, well put together in a small space It's basically a huge apartment, so you have your keys and come and go as you please.... Negatives: ...this means that...

We slept in this Hostal for 7 nights, we were 6 people in three rooms. At the beginning I was a bit worried because they didn’t answered my E-mail, but at the end everything went well and we had a very pleasant stay. Positive: perfect location in the middle of everything and very close to metro line 1. A very...

Staying in Huertas

Neighbourhood Profile
Huertas
Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The neighbourhood is committed to celebrating its rich heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas receives a fair amount of spillover from the center — side streets around Plaza Santa Ana take on a foreign party atmosphere at night, and you always see young backpackers navigating the streets — but as you descend into the neighbourhood, everything becomes a little more cramped and slightly less refined, and takes on more of an underground feel. Live music is at the heart of Huertas: by night, its subdued bars are ideal for meeting friends, sipping cocktails, and chatting quietly while enjoying jazz or singer-songwriter performances.
