The location was truly central for the sights we wished to visit. There were many different types of restaurants walking distance from the hotel. We walked to a Neighborhood Flea Market, the Central Plaza, Royal Palace & the major museums. Charo & Raul were very helpful in suggesting restaurants & sights to see. Their recommendations were right on. We enjoyed...

My experience in this hotel has to be described as excellent. They are in an incredible location in city center in Madrid´s greatest avenue. My room had private shower and toilet with daily cleaning and clean towels everydays.

Our stay was fantastic, the location cannot be beaten, was close to all museums, countless bars and restaurants, metro, parks, theaters, you name it. Our room was super clean and had everything we needed. Raul was very helpful and gave us some great tips which made our stay even better! Would highly recommend staying here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The host was so friendly and welcoming- he gave us a map and lots of advice on the best places to visit. Our room was spacious, clean & comfortable. The building was very peaceful and also very tall so there is an ornate lift up to the apartment. Thank you for such a pleasant...

My mother and I stayed in Hospedaje Romero from September 7th to September 8th and I must admit that it was one of the best experiences I've ever had in terms of accommodation. The place is conveniently located in Gran Vía, one of the central avenues of Madrid, which allowed us to easily get around the city. The room was...

Great location, in the middle of Madrid! However, it was so quiet and we slept very well. Hosts were very welcoming, very kind and helpful. They were always making sure if everything was good. The room was very very small, and a bit old, but if you just need somewhere to sleep and take shower, this place is more than...

Since I was traveling in August, I booked the room with the en suite bathroom and shower, air conditioning, fan and fridge. Despite being very hot outside, the sixth floor room was shockingly cool and quiet. I only used the fan while I was in the room. At night, I left the window open and it was nearly silent. The...

Staying in Malasana

Neighbourhood Profile
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
