The location is excelente, not far from the bustling city center, but in a more relax a friendly zone of Madrid. The room was huge and the staff fantastic. Breakfast is worth paying for and it is until 11.30 am.

Loved this place. Some modern flair added to an old spot, just like most European spots these days but this one was a nice one. Great location near a Alonso Martinez Metro station. There was a music joint right next to it if that's your thing as well as nearby bars for some tapas and drinks of course. It's not...

My husband and I stayed here two nights as the start of our Spain trip. It is part of a chain of hotels which are generally located in restored historic structures. This one is in a nice old building on a charming small plaza. It is not in the historic center of Madrid but is in a lovely area that...

Slightly unconfortable bed and, especially, noisy bar (in front of room 011) with the trashing of bottles late in the day (around midnight) and early in the morning (around 07.00). Nevertheless a good experience, with nice rooms and atmosphere.

Stayed here last week. A good smaller hotel. Room was clean and spacious. Good courtyard bar area. Breakfast is continental style with meats and cheeses. Fruit and cereals also included. We availed of the free hotel bikes. Great location close to Alonso Martinez metro stop. Busy at night with some clubs are bars nearby. Would recommend.

Staying in Chueca

Neighbourhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
