Analina Rooms chanced it's name to Lemmon Rooms Madrid. They have a good renovation with a new decoration. Bad acoustic, medium wifi but perfect price and location (near metro tirso de molina and la latina). We will came back!

Very good location, near Plaza del Sol, Plaza Mayor, museus del Prado, Sofia ana Thisen, near garden. Transportation 5 stars Metro and Rail less then 5min. Good points: location, price and cleaness. Bad Points: Acoustic, and heating ( in winter could be more in the apartment), and parkink by car, wi-fi some times goes down. The hotel is nice, price... More

My second visit and not as good as I recall from a couple of years ago. Fine for a night's stay, clean and basic facilities.... However, found the corridor outside the room seemed to amplify everyone's voices. Bring ear plugs! Was looking forward to a nice hot shower which unfortunately was stone cold. When I bought this to the attention... More

Stayed her with my daughter for two nights. Receptionist initially said they had only a room available for one night but if we paid by cash she would give us two. This is probably why people arrive to find no room available. She was very reluctant to give us a receipt and only did so after four requests when I... More

Housed in an old low-rise building steps away from the metro station, this is not exactly a hotel but a basic hostel offering private rooms with ensuite bathrooms. The room I got was of a reasonable size and clean, making it good value for money if you just need a place to sleep without frills. The staff on duty during... More

I've booked the hotel for our last day in Spain through Agoda 1month in advance and got everything confirmed. But when we went to the hotel the receptionist refused to check us in as she said the room was fully booked, I shown her the print out from Agoda and told her I paid for the hotel already just to... We booked 2 nights accommodation via agoda and received email confirmation from agoda. We wrote to Analina Rooms to further confirm before we flew to Spain on 3 occasions but no reply. We arrived at Analina Rooms on the dedicated date but we were left stranded instead as the girl at the reception (who spoke no English) kept shaking her... More

Having booked Analina Rooms via Agoda, and received the confirmation email from Agoda on 19 December, we arrived at the hostel around 1130hrs on 28 December 2013, but to our horror, the non-English speaking receptionist just kept shaking her head and said there is no such booking! Imagine our SHOCK! Other than shaking her head, she could not offer any... More

I have just returned from a two night stay here. The location is perfect, just a short stroll from the old town and Plaza Major. The street itself, and entrance to the hostal, is a little rough but once inside it is a modern, very clean but basic hotel. Our room was spacious enough for two and for the price... More

Staying in Lavapies

Neighbourhood Profile
Lavapies
Walking into this neighbourhood is like entering a different country ... except it's hard to tell which one it is. One side of Calle Lavapiés is lined with Indian restaurants, the other with kebab shops. Men in traditional African clothing convene outside their businesses for long chats, and people shout to each other across plazas and streets. Interspersed among ethnic specialty shops are independent theaters and dance studios, and two large arts and cultural centers — the beautiful Casa Encendida and the Tabacalera, a former tobacco factory — all of which attract young crowds. Along Calle Argumosa, the place to go for drinks, artists and art appreciators with piercings and dreadlocks convene in the street’s eclectic array of young, hip bars. Though some of the side streets can get a little seedy at night, Lavapiés is still the place to go for those seeking a unique blend of arts and culture in an international and funky neighbourhood.
