A lovely place to stay, very central to the city! It was very clean, safe and secure. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hostal is a short walk from the city centre and close to all the pubs, restaurants and shopping areas. Booked 6 nights accommodation here at the Bergantine, end of July into August, it is on the Fourth floor of a building Two minutes walk from the Puerto Del sol area of Madrid, the rooms are nicely furnished and cleaned on a daily basis, the staff are very friendly and help full and English speaking. “Some rooms are quieter, just ask when you book. I actually prefer the corner room (number 11 i think) cos it has a cool view, catches a lot of fresh air with the window open and with the type of windows they have, the street noise is largely blocked out.”
