I have just stayed at Las Musas for 5 nights. Feeling a bit queezy upon arrival (flight landed late, luggage was delayed, got to hotel about midnight), the staff were so friendly and gave me a coke and insisted on taking my luggage to my...More

This hostel is perfect for a short stay in Madrid. The hostel was clean. The staff was kind and friendly. They offered lots of activities such as hostel dinners, tours, pub crawls, flamenco nights, etc. We had a great time. Also, the location is great!

Walking into this neighbourhood is like entering a different country ... except it's hard to tell which one it is. One side of Calle Lavapiés is lined with Indian restaurants, the other with kebab shops. Men in traditional African clothing convene outside their businesses for long chats, and people shout to each other across plazas and streets. Interspersed among ethnic specialty shops are independent theaters and
dance studios, and two large arts and cultural centers — the beautiful Casa Encendida and the Tabacalera, a former tobacco factory — all of which attract young crowds. Along Calle Argumosa, the place to go for drinks, artists and art appreciators with piercings and dreadlocks convene in the street’s eclectic array of young, hip bars. Though some of the side streets can get a little seedy at night, Lavapiés is still the place to go for those seeking a unique blend of arts and culture in an international and funky neighbourhood.
Can you please let me know if you have safe and secure lockers available for laptops and important luggage?
Also, is the internet actually fast and reliable? This is really important as I have to work daily online.

The staff at Las Musas can hold valuable items at the admin office. I used the public PC and they are really fast.
