Lovely and elegant,1930's style hotel with wisteria terrace and afternoon tea, cakestands ,etc. You can imagine Frank Sinatra crooning in the corner and Agatha Christie sipping tea while working on her next book. Reasonable price food in the lounge bar, though limited menu...would advise to eat in the hotel because the cuisine in the rest of Gibraltar is not up to much.Went...

Lovely hotel, great breakfast and relaxing lounge bar with it's far reaching views. Like other hotels it suffers from banging door syndrome. If somebody comes in at 2am you'll likely know about it. Door closers need adjusting.

My wife and I stayed here for a whole week, from 9th March 2017. Upon arrival we were confronted by a flight of about 15 steps from the front door up to the Reception desk. A confusing sign indicated that the adjacent lift would not deposit us at Reception. So, we started to drag our suitcases up the steps and...

Attractively recently refurbished old-school hotel with great views, that just needs a little more polish to its act to mark it up as very good to excellent. Visited for a couple of nights on business. Rooms good size and styled with a modern take on the colonial look. Downsides were: - bed rather hard, could do with investing in some...

Hotel was perfect for us ... a short walk from the town.... clean with an excellent breakfast and friendly staff. I would recommend it along with the cable car ride to the top of the rock .... and a walk back down after visiting all of the attractions

We stayed from 2 to 7 March for my birthday. The room was a little small but the view from the balcony made up for that. The room was clean, the staff friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant at breakfast and dinner was first rate.

Absolutely great location, superb views, wonderful colonial style decor, very friendly staff, but let down by a few things. Very over priced and substandard breakfast. I thought for this level of hotel it was rather shocking. Nicely decorated room, generous balcony with my junior suite but the shower was a letdown. Piddly little shower head which caused issues as the...

My husband and I stayed her for 2 days to celebrate my 50th birthday. The first thing to point out is it is quite a climb up a steep hill to the hotel the alternative is to get a taxi. The advantage of its position is the amazing views you have from all rooms and the dinning room and bar....

Hotel provides great views, soft bed and friendly staff. Had an issue with room service but staff made amends by providing complimentary breakfast the following morning. Parking provided. Somewhat difficult to find but in good location close to cable car. No problems with the macaques. Nice balcony and view but noise from industry requires keeping window closed. Housekeeping does wonderful...

We took a quick day trip to Gib and decided to hike up to the Rock Hotel for tea before we left. Just a bit of advice: if you have a baby in a stroller, take a taxi up to the hotel. :) It was a bit of a haul. Other than that, tea was so-so. There were two weddings...

Dear RebekahCarrDame, Many thanks for taking the time to write your kind review following your brief visit to The Rock Hotel for Afternoon Tea. I am sorry that your visit coincided with a very busy afternoon with two small wedding ceremonies and you did not experience the hotel and service to its usual high standard and sedate and tranquil ambience....
