Whilst this hotel is visually very appealing, I honestly believe they use the tag of being a previous monastery, and subsequently keeping with the simple room theory, to their advantage. Considering the cost of a double room, to say they are very scarcely presented is an understatement. No tv (which didn't bother me in the least), no telephone, shocking wifi...

This hotel just oozes character and charm and an amazing sense of history and beautiful energy. The communal areas, including the vaulted dining room and cloisters were wonderful to spend time in. Our bedroom was small but perfectly formed with a lovely seat by a talk window looking out over the rooftops of neighbouring buildings. The only downside was the food...

Stayed two nights after walking the Camino. This is a converted monastery and had fantastic architecture and a great sense of being a special place. Rooms are small, clean and adequate. Noise levels can be distracting as pilgrims come and go at all hours of the night. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a continental buffet with a reasonable...

I stayed here at the end of my camino in one of the single pilgrim rooms. At 23€ I thought it was great value given its fantastic location and proximity to the cathedral. The room itself was basic but very clean and the monastry itself is a beautifulold building. Breakfast was plentiful although as mentioned it gets busy later in...

Hotel was in an amazing location. Sadly hotel was very noisy as guests having parties after finishing their walks woke us many times during the night. Staff were rude when our taxi didn't arrive and we had to wait 1 hour for a taxi 😢

Beautifully restored monastery in centre of santiago adjacent to the cathedral Lovely simple decor and ensuite. Breakfast is great! Gorgeous peaceful surroundings I stayed in the regular single the first time and then the pilgrims room which was more basic. The effect is the same. Beautiful whether more luxurious or not.

Located opposite the exit from the Cathedral this hotel is at the centre of everything. However at this time of the year it also means it is very noisy as you have to sleep with the windows open. Located in an old monastery or hospital the rooms are very basic and the bathroom is tiny. In its favour the rooms...

We stayed here after walking part of the Camino from Sarria. Feeling exhausted on arrival we were thrilled to realise or hotel was so close. The rooms are small, clean and very basic. The wifi was frustratingly slow which may be annoying.

Of all the places on the Camino Ingles, this was my favourite. Only steps away from the cathedral. A huge old convent (and I noticed at least one novice priest who seems to lodge there) with tranquillity and atmosphere in the simple rooms and the courtyard. Friendly staff, full of pilgrims, excellent and copious breakfast in the former refectory. Wobbly...

A historic building which deceives the eye as you stand in front of it: it's huge! Rooms are basic but clean with an excellent bathroom. You wanna watch TV downstairs because you room probably doesn't have one :) Very helpful front office staff. Can't get any closer to the cathedral than this! Food is a bit basic: both breakfast and...
