A charming hostel right in the heart of Santiago de Compostela. It was so lovely to have a room to ourselves with ensuite after our pilgrimage. Staff were extremely helpful and allowed us to leave a small ammount of luggage there as we walked on to Finestera.

All the Pilgrim Caminos end in Santiago de Compostella, the supposed site of the grave of St James, the Patron Saint of Spain. I became a pereguino and walked the Portuguese coastal route from Porto to Santiago staying in a mix of small hotels and pilgrim hostels, but I spent my last 3 nights in the Hostal Suso at the...

Modernized hotel and room, inside a historic building, reasonable price, friendly, perfect location - 3 minutes walk from the cathedral and museums. Nice cafe downstairs for breakfast and more, Helpful (went out of their way to help book transportation) and really nice (english speaking) staff in both hotel and cafe. I had just walked the Camino and was there alone...

Nice place easy to get to from the airport via taxi or bus. Very quiet as it isn't in the middle of all the folks rambling up and down the streets shopping, coming or going in Camino or just people watching. They will hold your bags and print airline tickets also. Still have to do laundry by hand but hairdryer...

We stayed at Hostal Suso after hiking the Camino de Santiago. The location couldn't be beat (meters from the cathedral) and the staff was amazing! We had so many requests and Sylvia never made us feel like a burden. She did our laundry for us (when you've been hiking for days the fresh smell is like heaven), made arrangements for...

After completing the Camino we spent 4 nights with the Suso brothers: Suso, Fernando, Carlos and Javier. Their hospitality was the best. We received everything we needed, extra pillows, towels, hairdryer. Our breakfasts were fresh cooked eggs, toast, bacon, coffee and fresh juice. Just perfect. The location is a few blocks from the Cathedral on a well traversed street. There...

I rarely go to the same place twice even if I had a wonderful experience the first time. But in the case of Hostal Suso, it is a perfect location in Santiago and it is so homey. The rooms are small but well maintained, the linens are good and best of all -wonderful coffee is down the stairs. No elevator...

This is the second time we have stayed Hostal Suso after completing a camino. The rooms are clean and warm, the place itself is pleasantly decorated but it is the brothers that own the business that keep us returning. They are friendly, accommodating and very helpful. Requests for washing, leaving our bags on the last day and any other reasonable...

I stayed in this Hostal almost 30 years ago. I remembered it as somewhat old and dark, but inexpensive and in a great location, which is why I came back. Well, it has undergone a beautiful transformation and is now a very nice (and still inexpensive!) place to stay. The hosts are super nice and helpful, the room was clean...
