If you are looking for something central in Barcelona, The Five Rooms is the place to be. The five rooms is located less than 100 meters from Las Ramblas. The property has a unique character. If you see the pictures, you will know what I mean. The property is very central and the rooms are clean and decent sized. The decor...

This place is a perfect example what boutique stands for. You enter and feel welcome. The staff is very helpful and know some nice places to recommend for dinner. The rooms are just beautiful, with the walls partly in bricks and the stylish bathroom. The breakfast as already mentioned is ok, but could offer some more choice. The position is...

If you like the boutique experience, this is the place to stay in Barcelona. Clean, nice-sized rooms, friendly staff, wonderful location (a very short walk to the Ramblas;) and a nice breakfast -- what more could you ask for? The only possible drawback is the same as every boutique hotel -- manipulating your luggage.

I travelled to Barcelona with two friends in May 2013. We had one of the apartments. It was great -- queen bed in the bedroom and two single beds in the great room so everyone had their own bed. Fantastic location. Apartment was clean and comfortable and air condition worked great. The staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations...

Great, centrally located place! Rooms are generous in size (we stayed in one of the suites), comfortable and well designed. Bedding is comfortable, and there is a lot of space to store luggage and clothing. The large rooms are definitely a luxury compared to many European hotels / accoms...and especially for the price! The location is a bit of a...

Staying two nights: very nice rooms, very friendly personell, very good central location - but considering the price level the breakfast is a slap in your sleepy face: cheap industrial ham, chorizo and cheese, baguette, some mediocre marmelades and cereals, cheap yoghurts - thats it - not a good start for a long day. Which is a pity as everything...

We stayed at the 5 rooms on the recommendation of close friends who had stayed there last year. The location is unbeatable (5 mins walk from Plaza Catalunya), the rooms are comfortable and stylish and the common area and breakfast offer everything you need. I had read in another review that it was a disadvantage not having the reception staffed...

We would recommend the 5 Rooms to a friend in a heartbeat. We did a lot of research to find the right accommodations in Barcelona, which for us meant finding something that felt fresh and comfortably luxurious, which was positioned in a good location and would give us a reasonable price for our extended stay. We stayed at the 5...

After searching the huge range of overly expensive small roomed hotels and fading gems that seem to inhabit Barcelona I came across The 5 Rooms courtesy of concierge.com. Almost like an upmarket B&B this boutique hotel charms with warm and caring service, urbanely stylish rooms, relaxed breakfast room and very quiet rooms - in an excellent location. Reflecting the comments...

"The 5 Rooms" (actually, there are 12) is a stylish and comfortable b&b. The furnishings are modern and chic, the bathrooms are outstanding, the location is excellent for both shopping and sightseeing, and Jessica, the owner-operator, is a charming and effervescent hostess. Highly recommended.

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
