We found H54 to be in a great and central location, without sacrificing quiet or safety in this bustling metropolis. Staff were attentive and friendly, and the rooms were sleek, comfortable, and even spacious for a European hotel.

H54 is a good hotel on the main street of Barceloneta, just a few hundred meters from the Barceloneta Metro stop. Nice and clean rooms, very kind staff, excellent free wi-fi in the rooms, very good breakfast. It has bar/restaurant where good cocktails or a beer can be drunk with friends and a lots of restaurants around.

Some parts of the hotel such as the corridor and shower area were showing their age, but the room was smart and the bed comfortable. The window looked across the road to the marina and it was just a short walk to the beach. It was a 20 minute walk to the metro station, past many eateries. The hotel breakfast...

For: great location, roof bar Against: rooms are small and in need of renovation, breakfast very limited and not cooled (milk, fruit, etc), hotel staff not very knowlegeable (exception: Nurria very helpful indeed) All in all an average hotel.

Pros: The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Love them! The location for spending time on the beach is pefect, 2 minutes walk to the beach and not so far from shopping district. Clean modern room. The rooftop bar is nice to watch the sunset, especially with sangria cocktail. The fish cevice was so good. Cons: Thin wall so I...

Stayed 3 nights in this lovely small hotel which has every facility you would need- good well finished and comfortable rooms ( overlooking the marina best); mini bar; good rainforest shower; breakfast bar, laid back restaurant downstairs; friendly staff...... Well located between marina and beach, loads of restaurants but I would advise going into the smaller streets behind for better,...

Very convenient location, close to the beach with a lot of restaurants around and not really far from old part of the city. Las Ramblas is circa ten minutes walk away. Staff in the hotel is very helpful and friendly. Wi-fi worked well for us. Breakfast choice is limited and quality varies from day to day, but you can have...

We stumbled across this gem on our way back from the beach and saw a sign for its rooftop bar so decided to have a look. WOW! The view over Barcelona is utterly stunning! Be prepared to wait for drinks though because the lovely bartender is in no hurry, very laid back. Totally amazing views though. And downstairs they do...

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighbourhood Profile
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
