Pros: clean, modern, silent rooms. Excellent location next to the Arenas shopping center and Montjuic (with its amazing magic fountain). Very good transportation options. Cons: the operation of the shower and wifi could be better, pricey breakfast.

I've been in Ayre Hotel Granvia twice and I really enjoyed staying there. Rooms are clean and very good looking. The hotel is near Montjuic and the magic fountain and very close to the underground and to the wonderful Arenas department store. I really suggest you to go there if you choose Barcelona ^^ Enjoy!

This property is modern and quite contemporary for a European city hotel. Rooms are decent size, we stayed on the Gran Via side and street noise was minimal. No iron in the room, but there is a hair dryer. Front desk staff was cordial and helpful, but not particularly outgoing. The breakfast buffet is great and offers one of the...

I made the mistake of booking this room prior to my wedding. An apartment I rented from airbnb.com only had fans and my hair stylist said I needed air conditioning to properly style my hair in the Barcelona heat. When I checked in, I have to say the front desk staff was not very friendly and almost seemed bothered when...

A nice property, very convenient from the first stop of the airport bus as enter central city. The rooms are modern, have black-out shades that are automatic and comfortable. Free Wi-Fi, ok but works better in the lobby. Longer walk across circle to bus back to airport. Had a great rate found on their website after first discovering hotel through...

The hotel is very clean, comfortable and the rooms not cramped. Although sited out of the city near Montjuic, this is a convenient area as access to the city is easy either by bus or underground, which is very close by. We didn't breakfast in the hotel as it is easy to go straight into the city and eat there....

The hotel has a sophisticated modern vibe which was in line with the eclectic architecture in this vibrant city. It is located close to the metro so it is an excellent base from which to explore the city. The bus stop for buses going to the airport are also very near, around 200 meters, so it is easily accessible. The...

At the beginning I was un happy for the location; just in front at the Granvia, then too traffic and too noisy. Anyway, the room is quite good and clean; the staff is very friendly and kind. Very good breakfast, a lot of fresh things to eat. Not far from the hotel, there is Montjuic for sport attraction or, of...

My fiance and I stayed here on a sight-seeing excursion to Barcelona. The location was pretty good, close to an underground station, which meant we were within 10-15 minutes from most main stops in the city. The breakfast was pretty pricey, so we contented ourselves with the occasional coffee/tea in the lounge and walked across the street for pastries. It's...

Hotel is very near Montjuic. The rooms are well kept, new, comfortable. Good value for money. We didn't take breakfast there. We asked for a baby cot and everything was ready when we arrived and checked in. The Metro is 500 meters from the hotel. From there you can go to the Ramblas and the center of Barcelona.

Staying in Montjuic

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
