Friendly staff, there is a kitchen if necessary, easy access to city centre by metro, also you can walk to Pl. Catalunya about 30 minutes. Poor internet connection, it was not stable. There is no reception staff from 00.00 to 8.30 but they give all the keys you need. I find this hostal from Booking.com. They sent me an e-mail...

If you are traveling on a budget it's always a bit tricky to find a good, cheap and clean place which is still in a safe area. After the stay in Hostal Alogar I don't have to do the search again, if I ever decide to visit Barcelona again, and I can wholeheartedly recommend the place for others, too. We...

We stayed here for 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay. We were in a double room with a private bathroom which had a window out onto a quiet street. The room was quite small but we made it work as we weren't in the room too often. The Muntaner subway stop is about 3 minutes walk away which is...

Upon arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful. For shared bathrooms they were clean and in great condition. Shower water is hot with very good pressure. The towels and shower gel are also provided. We asked a staff member for help to print the tickets, who obliged without any hint of a problem. Who also gave some good tips...

This hostel is sweet and the staff were extraordinarily nice and helpful. The rooms were very nice and clean and had all the basics of a hostel plus more. The main problem I had with the hostel is the fact that, aside from the skylight that doesn't open, there were no windows in the room, which made it feel stuffy....

We stayed for four nights in February. The location is the best thing about the hostel. The nearby area feels very safe. Muntaner, the closest Metro stop, is about a 5 minute walk, but you can also walk to Plaza de Cataluña in about half an hour. The rooms were basic and small, but clean and comfortable. It's not luxury,...

We stayed 6 nights in June 2013. The hotel's position is excelent, 20 minutes walking distance to the Gaudi's Casa Mila and Casa Batllo. Also there are some supermarkets near. The personal is really friendly. They helped us by sending the itinerary from the airport to the hostel. We also received free maps and discounts. Even though we had a...

Went for our honeymoon. Nice clean room, quite small but we were hardly there as we went sight seeing. Hotel staff friendly. Room very basic, we stayed in a room without a window. Good bathroom. Metro is a 10 minute walk away from hostel. Then a further 10 minute ride to Las Ramblers or connection metro/tram to get to Camp...

As a couple on a five-week European honeymoon, this was not a good choice for us. If you are a backpacker with small luggage and are looking for a cheap and high-quality hostel, then this is perfect for you. However, for us, it was too small. We stayed in a room with no windows, and there was not much space...
