Arrived on the Monday, staff reception easy and pleasant, room was basic but very clean and spacious with plenty of towels and red hot shower, little things to help the traveller were tooth brush toothpaste shaver and cream for the gents with lots of shower gel. It was a wee bit cold in the night (November) so next day we... More

Just returned from a long weekend here. Great central location hotel. Just a short walk up the street to nearest metro station (Jaume I) which I would recommend if travelling to Barcelona to use the metro for value & how efficient it is. Also very easy to understand. The hotel was very comfortable with spacious room. Very very clean &... More

I absolutely loved this hotel! Spacious, clean rooms. A balcony is a must! It's in the perfect location. Everything is in walking distance. Picasso museum is right around the corner and the cathedral of Barcelona is only about a 5 minute walk. Tons and tons of a little shops, cafes, and bakeries. Most of the locals are very kind and... I stayed here B&B for 4 nights and I can't fault anything! My room was lovely - very clean and pretty spacious for a single. The staff are really friendly and helpful too. The location is perfect for exploring the city, right near the Gothic Quarter and just 10 minutes walk from La Rambla, the beach/marina and there are lots... More

The location is great and the rooms are clean. The staff was helpful. The problem for me was the fact that we were given a room which was connected with another one (it was a part of a family suite, I suppose) with strangers in it. Of course we were separated by a door, but we could hear every single... More

This hotel is close to everything! We walked everywhere, but there is a metro nearby. Very clean! Staff was always friendly and helpful. Lots of cute shops and restaurants in the area. Don't forget to check out the roof top lounge! Awesome view across the city :)

Having to stay in Barcelona my colleague picked this nice hotel. I have a rather large room, clean and tidy, modern. Good value for money. And, for a little extra price they serve a very good breakfast where you are completely aware of your surrounding and the liveliness of Barcelona.

Beautiful hotel, lovely staff, excellent location. Lovely roof top terrace with pool. The hotel was spotless and really comfortable. Water in fridges on every floor, free. I cannot fault this hotel at all, it was amazing and I can't wait to return.

Stayed here two nights pre-cruise. Very friendly staff. Room was very clean and the free bottled water on each floor was very appreciated. Bed was very firm; I loved it but most European beds are firm if not HARD! Included breakfast was delicious with Spanish specialties. I'd definitely stay here again - it's a wonderful place.

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
