My husband and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon. The staff was great and very helpful. The room was big. No drawers to put your clothes in but they provided a clothing rack if you needed to hang things up. There was air conditioning in the room and satellite tv, limited mainly to news channels. The bathroom had...

Hi! First of all, thanks a lot sharing your opinion with other people interested in Barcelona City Centre Hostal. The walls and roof of our hostel are soundproofed and we do everything possible to avoid noise. But it is not always up to us and sometimes guests are noisy. We know how important a silent rest is for our guests,...

I just spent three nights here with a girl friend for my 30th birthday. I did a massive search online before leaving home, trying to find value in a safe locale for accomodation. I was not disappointed. This hostal is located right in the heart of Eixample, which is a nice district near all the action, but a bit more...

Hi! First of all, thanks a lot sharing your experience in Barcelona City Centre with other travelers. It has happened a lot of time since you stayed with us. Just let you know now all windows are new and unsound proofed, so noisy form the street has practically disappeared. About the fridge in the common area, now is not there...

I booked my first 4 nights in a more expensive hotel, because I wasn't sure about this hostal. Fortunately, my first hotel wasn't able to accomodate me for the last night so I decided to try this hostal. It was great for the price. I had a single room and it was nice and clean. I think it has just...

Hi! First of all, thanks a lot sharing your opinion with other people here. You came a lot of time ago (2006), but I remember you perfectly (thanks that you tell you are French Canadien) and how you were surprised about our hostel. As it was our frist accommodation, I was working in reception on that time. It was 2006,...

Clean and quiet Hostal located in the Eixample neighborhood of Barcelona. Staff was friendly and very helpful in answering my questions. My room faced the street, and was reasonably quiet (double-paned glass windows), but weekend nights were nosier due to niteclubs across the street. Interior rooms may be quieter, but don't have windows for ventilation. My room was very clean,...

Hi! Thanks a lot for your opinion. This one is very special for us, as it was the first one we received in Tripadvisor (and fortunately was a very good one). Reading your opinions just tell you some things: -All windows have been changed in order to minimize the noise and energy wasting. In spite they were double-paned, they were...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
