The hotel is beautiful and the people are wonderful. The two big problems I have are deal breakers for me. First, The air conditioning is terrible is never cooled down and we had to sleep with the windows open for air. Second the bed is like a solid rock. We were so uncomfortable we could hardly stay asleep. That being...

Stayed at Hotel Silken Diagonal for 2 nights. I really loved the design of the hotel. Everything's very modern, the hallways, the rooms, the lobby. Watch out because the bathroom is see through so when taking a shower, your roomie can see you when he's in the room. Rooms are also pretty noisy (my friend told me) but I wear...

Great hotel with some impressive and unique features. The hotel makes a nice change to a typical chain branded hotel. The rooms are spacious, very modern and the floor to ceiling windows the width of the room just simply create some stunning views. Spotless, modern, good quality furnishings, electric blinds, well sticked mini bar and flat screen tv so cant...

We spent two nights in the Hotel Silken Diagonal in March. The hotel is spectacular, and very well located near a metro station. Everything is easily accessible. We really enjoyed the design. The lobby is beautiful, and the staff is great. We really felt welcome, and the check-in was a breeze. The place smells wonderful and looks clean. The room...

This is a great hotel, with friendly staff and in a good location. The hotel itself is very nice and modern with great views from the rooftop of the mountains, Torre agbar and sagrada de familia. We had a room on the 8th floor and this was really comfortable, although there wasn't any complimentary water or fruits offered as you...

A very trendy hotel with modern furniture and decoration. It's located right next to the Agbar Tower which served as a great landmark especially at night - you just won't miss it. Staff was helpful too. The safe was broken in the first room we were assigned to and we were switched to another room swiftly. We spent the new...

We stayed here for 3 nights we found this hotel to be very modern and clean. The location of the hotel isn't in the centre but you can get to most places really quickly as the metro station is 2 min away from the hotel and the Tram stop is just outside. The staff were friendly and helpful and the...

A friend of mine and I stayed here one night because we had an event in Barcelona and the company that organized everything booked us this hotel. We found the hotel to be very modern. Our room was very modern too and with views to the Sagrada Familia. Everything was super clean. For us a negative point was that the...

Our stay here was lovely and we would definitely go back! Great location, a very short walk to the metro station. Also very near to a shopping centre. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is modern and very trendy. Have nothing to complain about from this stay and would highly...

Staying in Poblenou

Neighbourhood Profile
Poblenou
The futuristic Agbar Tower stands out from Barcelona's skyline in Poblenou. It is no coincidence then that this area of town is the newly crowned technological park of the city, its own mini Silicon Valley containing a tech incubator (Barcelona Activa) as well as a host of local and international high tech companies. To accommodate the onrush of new residents and workers, the area of Poblenou has seen a surge of activity in new high-rise residential buildings and two top-notch shopping centres catering to everyone's need. The ambiance of this area is calmer than the city center and the beautifully relaxing Bogatell Beach, popular with locals, is just a handful of blocks away.
