Stated here for 3 nights and really enjoyed my time here. Indoor pool and spa as well as an outdoor heated pool on the roof terrace which also has a bar. Great location in the middle of las ramblas and close to the market. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Just off Ramblas H 1898 is a beautiful Hotel. Dark and seductive entrance and lobby with plenty of seating and an adjoining Bar. Rooms(or mine was) a little small but beautifully furnished with all the usual accoutrements. My room 3rd floor was over the Metro and a bit noisy come 0500 ! Did not have breakfast as I prefer to...

Hotel 1898 is one of the most relaxing, pleasant and aromatic hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying in! The location is superb - right slap bang in the middle of the hustle and bustle; yet the second you step off La Rambla and enter H1898 you leave all the chaos and noise behind and enter a world...

Just stayed there last week. hotel service and rooms are terrific. Did not eat at restaurant in hotel, but it looked good. Only negative, if you drive a rental car here, be careful. Lots of one ay streets make access to their parking garage which is below the hotel very difficult. You will also have to drive between metal posts...

We stayed at this hotel last year. If we were ever to go back to barcelona, we would definitely stay again! The hotel itself is very charming and modern. All the staff are extremely nice and will help with anything they can. Things we loved: indoor pool and sauna.... awesome after a long day of walking and site seeing, we...

So glad we stayed here. H1898's location on La Rambla is fantastic, buzzing outside and an oasis of calm inside. The staff are great at their job and take real care of the place. Breakfast is a bit pricey, but a very good start to each day and kept us going through to mid afternoon lunches. The roof terrace is...

Fantastic three nights stay here in a deluxe room. Hotel was spotless, facilities great and the perfect spot for touring the city. The deluxe room is a good size and the decked balcony a pleasant addition. Bar service was very good and fairly priced too ( you even get crisps and olives with each round :) . Couldn't fault it...

The hotel is located right on La Rambla in the end closest to Placa Catalunya, this allows for a great starting point to go anywhere in the city. Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
