The bathroom ceiling had mold on which they painted on our being there. Breakfast should have served at eight but it was late every morning. The walls were paper thin and you can hear every noise in living room/breakfast room to your own room. But location was great and the staff was friendly.

If you are used to the privicy and isolation of a normal hotel then this will not suit you. The room we stayed in was lovely and very clean, however it was right beside the lounge/eating area, which was strange. Breakfast was very good and well laid out as was the constant supply of tea and coffee, however be prepared...

The only good thing about this place was the position. Nothing like the photo. The floor was filthy. The bottom of my feet were black. Had to ask 3 times for it to be cleaned. Bed was so uncomfortable. The breakfast was dreadful and so was the service. Kept running out of things. Example Asked for more juice but no...

Booked in a rush, but liked it, as overall is in an attractive, residential location, and near the yellow line of the metro. My room was N 5: excellent shower, bed a little too soft for me; I was greeted by a nice Cilean Receptionist, and I would come back with my wife next time. Left too early everyday to...

Our room looked nothing like the photos on the website. The AC didn't work, the shower didn't drain and it was extremely noisy. We don't usually stay in fancy places but want a clean room with basic amenities that work. The room was VERY tired, e.g. needed paint and a solid update, bed was uncomfortable, and the towels threadbare. We...

I traveled solo in this destination city following a transatlantic cruise and found this "hotel" (an apartment home turned hotel in a very old solid building built in the 1700's?) than more than meet my expectations. The location was fantastic and walkable to everything. Restaurants / tapas across the street as well as an excellent burger/fries restaurant. My room had...

Stayed here 4 nights at second floor with my wife, never going back. Filthy entranceway, filthy stairs, paper-thin walls, no staff in evenings or nights. Nice neighborhood with clean and friendly bakeries, restaurants and shops close by. Extremely overpriced dump. Barcelona is a wonderful city full of fantastic people and places. So either clean this place up, cut the price...

The hotel is very central to everything and the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Thanks to their help we managed to get the best type of metro ticket which enabled up to see many brilliant things. The hotel is very clean, tidy and homely. Having refreshments available all the time was fantastic after a full day...

The hotel website makes it seem a lot more boutique then it really is!! the staff where really helpful, but the catch for me was that the room had NO sound proofing and it was as tho the traffic was coming though the room, also the shower has wall tiles on the floor (very dangerous indeed) and the bed was...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
