Having visited Barcelona before and aware that a lot of hotels close to La Ramblas, and particularly around the Gothic quarter, could be very noisy throughout the night, we wanted a hotel that was located conveniently, of a high standard, not massively expensive and QUIET at bedtime. This hotel ticked all our boxes; it is perfectly located off Placa de...

This is a modern hotel located close to the Plaza Catalunya and La Rambla, it's a brilliant hub for exploring Barcelona and we found that we were able to walk to all the places of interest. It's about a 10 minute walk from Passeig De Gracia station which has trains running to and from the airport so we were able...

We hired a car from Milan and drove all the way down to Barcelona. There wasn't any parking within the hotel. We were advised to park at an underground parking garage opp. the hotel. We arrived at the hotel at about 7pm. As there was no door man at the entrance of the hotel, I decided to get help from...

Situated right beside the placa de catalunya at the top of the ramblas. Clsoe to the metro and tour bus terminus. Airport bus stops 2 minutes away. Hotel is bright and modern. Breakfast is fantastic, everything you could want. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Drink is expensive but there is a supermarket across the road and we stocked the...

The hotel is ideally located in Placa Catalunya, both for walking around and for taking the metro. we arrived in the evening, but there was no problem at check-in, they even gave us a full map of Barcelona which proved to be very useful - there is a tourist infor spot and bureau right in Placa Catalunya. The room was...

We stayed 3 nights at Pulitzer for my 30th birthday and we had a lovely time. Location is perfect we found it easy to locate the hotel by a massive Habitat shop sign on the corner of the street a few meters from the hotel. We stayed in the room 110, it didn't have much of a view but then...

We flew into Barcelona airport, jumped on the RENFE train, changed at Passeig de Gracia, jumped on the metro, jumped off at Catalunya metro stop and the hotel is a 1 min walk max. Buy a T10 ticket which allows you 10 journeys on the RENFE overground and metro underground. You can purchase 1 ticket and share it between your...

My stay at the Hotel Pulitzer Barcelona was well below average. We had several complaints that made the stay extremely unsatisfactory, including the following: 1) We were staying in room on the 4th floor three nights. About every half and hour a very loud and annoying sound would pierce through the walls for about 2 minutes straight. It sounded like...

Just spent the Xmas in Barcelona and what a great hotel Pulitzer was: a very good location just off the Plaza Catalunya, two minute walk to Ramblas and Passeig de Gracia. A very nice, large room with a wooden floor, great spacious bathroom with good toiletries - they even provide footbalm which is a fabulous treat after a day of...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
