I would probably stay at this hotel on my next visit to Barcelona based on its convenient location and polite staff. It’s on a relatively quiet street that feeds into the square at the center of the city, Placa de Catalunya. We don't spend a lot of time in our room when we are on holiday. Having said that, some...

Just spent five nights here, and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is stylish, the staff always friendly, usually smiling; and so helpful. Location, just off Placa Catalunya is excellent. Easy to find having used the Aerobus from the airport- when you get off the bus, look to the opposite side of the Placa, and the street you need is...

I loved my stay! I loved the balcony and the view from the balcony. You also helped me arrange my boyfriends 30th birthday on the terrace perfectly which went well and was very well received! thank you for this. I would recommend that the complimentary water in the bedrooms was refreshed daily, this would have been great but this was...

Location - Perfect It is so easy to get to - Took the Aerobus from the Airport. Walked across the Placa de Catalunya and Voila you are there. We booked online via the hotel website and the price was decent. There are metro stops steps away and bus routes that take you to all the major attractions right at Placa...

We stayed here about ten years ago when, I assume, the refurbishment was recently completed. Today it is showing signs of wear, though there was work going on to upgrade parts of the building. However, the room ( a deluxe double with a balcony) was big and had a large sofa to sit on, and nice bathroom. The bed was...

We stayed here 12 years ago and so decided to book again for our 10th wedding anniversary trip. The hotel is ideally situated at the top of the Ramblas. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was clean and we liked the boutique style. I am 6ft tall and my feet hung off the end of the bed,...

was OK. There was a ton of construction happening during our stay, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt and assume the hotel will be great at some point. However, my room's air conditioning did not work and though some of the room and hotel had been updated, much was out-dated and in poor shape. Staff seemed...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
