I stayed 5 nights at the Equity Point Gothic hostel in Barcelona with a friend and had a wonderful time. The location was idea, about 10/15 minutes to the beach, close to great restaurants and cafes and next to wonderful museums. The hostel seemed very safe and clean yet the beds themselves were old and not as comfortable as they...

Equity Point Gothic is in a great location in the Gothic quarter of Barcelona, minutes away from the cathedral and a few blocks from La Rambla. The staff is very friendly and helpful at any hour of the day or night, and they have information about anything you could want to do in Barcelona. There's a great atmosphere where it's...

We stayed here for four nights in a 14 share and would honestly never do it again. I'm not sure if it was the hostel or the particular people that we had in our room, but sleep was not something you got a lot of here. In saying that, when we complained to staff about the noise (at 5am) they...

Overall I enjoyed my stay becuase I was with people. But if you are a solo traveler one thing I would say is that they kick you out of the common rooms at midnight. In a city where you don't start going to the bars until 1am this left a very awkward hour. As a result, it isn't the easiest...

The Hostel is very well placed between the Born and the Barri Gothic. It is clean, calm, such as the dorms, the terrace is great, and the breakfast si correct given its price. Careful however, the cover sheets are not provided.

It's a nice hostel and really cheap. The dorms have these small cubicles that give you a lot of privacy and they also have a locker, which is useful. Since is cheap, there is no air conditioning, something that you could miss during summer time, because is really hot in Barcelona. The hostel is really well located, close to a...

I would totally give it 5 stars but the bathroom was out of toilet paper and as there are so few on the floor I'd figure they could be checked pretty easily and more often so that doesn't happen. Room was great awesome privacy, cool set up. It's like being in your own treehouse. Reception super helpful and nice and...

The location is perfect to explore the city and going to the beach, have a subway stop close from the hostel, the hosts are nice and the service also. The negative points was the breakfast that it's nutritionally poor with very few choices i know that is a hostel but the breakfast can be much better. The showers that in...

We were a bunch of french quadras having a fun week end in Barcelona. We decided to block an hour to "eperiment " the escape room concept. Despite the language barrier for some of us we did the game in english and we really had fun . It is essentially assymetric thinking and a lot of observation and connecting dot....

Spent one night there. This hostel is kinda clean and practical. But overall you're definitely paying for location, which is fair enough. I wasn't expecting a great night of sleep considering that people are coming and going at any hour and that it sounded like a waterfall was running on the first floor for some reason. But I was very...

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
