Stayed here due to a transfer from a hostel, therefore our expectation was for a hostel. Would say that this 'hotel' is a hostel with a daily room service. We were really pleased, great reception service and welcome. Had to pay tourist tax, that we were not made aware of, but was only around 7€ for two of us for...

I was really disappointed with this hotel. I stayed here as part of a GAP trip. If you are doing a GAP trip that includes this hotel as a starting or ending place, I do not recommend you buy extra night from GAP. There are nicer places to stay in Barcelona for the same price or maybe even cheaper. I...

Went to Barcelona for the Celtic game recently. The hotel/hostel is in a good location near Barca city centre. Shame about the room we got put in as it faced into the centre of the building, so no view at all. The room was basic but we played loud music all night long and there were no issues! Didnt make...

Previous reviews were very helpful. The hotel is a 2* hotel and so do not expect anything luxurious. However it was clean, the room and bathroom were more than adequate for our stay which was purely to sleep there as there is so much to see in Barcelona. We asked for quiet room after previous comments and was very happy...

This hotel,is in a great location and for the price I would stay here again, the rooms are not luxurious but are clean, the staff on reception are so helpful, just to mention i had my bag dipped on the airport bus and mine and my friends passports were stolen, be very careful, although-this is not a reflection on the...

My Mother and I stayed at the Hotel Condestable 16-19 October 2012 and found the hotel to be great. The receptionist was polite on arrival and checked us in quickly. Our room was of a good size, with 3 single beds and large windows that overlook Plaza Universitat - the windows open so fresh air is readily available. The room...

I would recommend this Hotel for its location. It is close to La Ramblas, plaza Catalunya . Shops, Metro, Hop on Hop off buses.I would go again to this hotel. The only thing is that the North bus Station for buses from Girona airport is a bit far to walk and if u take a taxi it would cost you 20 euros...

Well I guess you get what you pay for and, if you thought the lowish cost of this hotel's rates seemed too good to be true, then you'd be right. Unfortunately we lost our booking to a three star hotel and took a risk switching to the Condestable (which always seems to have empty rooms - I wonder why?) at...

Excellent location, metro station and bus stops opposite, 5 minute walk to Las Ramblas, bars, restaurants and shops. The rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard; the room was basic but comfortable only downside to the room is the walls are a little thin. The central location of this hotel offsets any problem with noise from thin walls.

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
