The position is amazing, the people at the reception very friendly. The problem is the you can hear the people talking in other rooms as if you were with them.. and the elevator makes the hell of a noise!!! If you are planning to go out and party I think it is a good deal, but if you need a...

Very good location, near metro station (Jaume I) and even Barceloneta by foot. The room is basic but ok for what we needed, it had a roof fan, tv, private bathroom and a small but cute balcony. Be advised, very noisy at night. Noise come from exterior and interior also. The room was serviced everyday, clean towels. The hotel has...

A very basic hotel, no frills, no attempts to even present a luxury facade. Basic function trumps form every time. The bed, though the mattress was 20cm shorter than the frame, was comfortable even if it looked cheap and the blanket on it well used. The bathroom/toilet clean, even if the shower was barely large enough to shower in. (The...

We stayed here for 5 nights, it is in the perfect location to explore Barcelona, just 2 minutes from the metro station, lots of shops, cafe and restaurants nearby. The room was basic but ok for what we needed, it had a roof fan, blackout blinds, tv and private bathroom. Very noisy at night, we had to buy earplugs, noise...

Let's say it clearly from the very start: if you love luxury hotel this one is NOT for you. It is a very essential and spartan hotel that may be ok if you are a teenager or an older guy who can give up frills and cut to the chase. For a romantic holiday, nah, I wouldn't recommend it at...

Location is top notch, staff are friendly and efficient, rooms are clean if slightly small. Only real problem was minuscule shower (and with a 6 foot 3 boyfriend there was a lot of swearing in the bathroom in the morning) but small price to pay for amazing location in Barri Gothic. Surrounded by incredible sights, sounds and bars! Safe deposit...

We actually booked through Hotel Annex but it is the same as Hotel Rey Don Jaime. We arrived to a small, hot, and unattractive reception area. The front desk employee that greeted us was confused and unfriendly. Behind her sat unorganized papers and a giant can of roach spray. She insisted that at every time we left the building, we...
