We took a taxi from BCN airport, due to arriving late at night. When we finally found the call button so that they opened the entrance door, the check in went smoothly. We stayed in room 118 which doesn't actually have a window to the outside world, but into the hotel itself. So trying to look what kind of weather...

The Hotel Gaudi scores highly for location. The roof terrace looks out over the Gaudi Palau Guell opposite and is a mere 50 metres from the Ramblas. Our room was comfortable and clean, with a good sized double bed and safe included in the price. But - breakfast was a disappointment: the only contact with the single member of staff...

When we checked in I found that the hotel offered breakfast to all guest. We had not paid for it because we are not heavy eaters in the morning. We attended breakfast for the great coffee and croissants. There was also canned and fresh fruits. The room was cozy, well stocked with breakfast items from a hot meal, cold cuts,...

Fantastic 6th floor superior quadruple room (book direct with hotel). Spacious room with Super King and two singles and a massive terrace with table, chairs and sun loungers. Brilliant to watch the sun rise and set from. Roof top terrace and bar for all guests. Hotel is in a great location, quiet but just 50 yards from La Rambles. Clean,...

We returned to Hotel Gaudi after a trip last year. We still think it's great. The location couldn't be better, a stone's trhrow from the Ramblas, easy walk to three metro statione, directly across from the Palau Guell. Lovely rooftop with good views of the city and a bar. Nice breakfast. Clean, comfortable room.

This was my third stay at this hotel. Every next time they improve something, which sows they care! The location could not be more ideal: just steps away from La Rambla, from La Boqueria Market, from Plaza Colon and the harbour and from many choices of public transportation. Although we had no car, the hotel has a private underground locked...

Stayed here for 3 nights. Good location just off Las Ramblas. Staff were friendly. Room size ok, nice & clean. There was a small bar downstairs. Nice rooftop terrace, however, the drinks were expensive up there! Didn't have any food at the hotel, we used to pop round the corner for a coffee & crossaint! Would stay here again.

Excellent location and value for money. Good all inclusive breakfast. Opposite Palau Guell- use the rooftop terrace to get free views if the Gaudi chimney pots! close to metro stops and La Rambla. Very helpful staff.

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
