An excellent hotel, central, friendly and helpful staff, particularly in the small bar. Roma are fine, good sized beds and our room had an excellent patio area with seat, settee and 2 loungers! Breakfast could offer a larger selection of cooked breakfast but what is in offer is adequate. Overall a nice, well run hotel, very handy for the city centre,... More

Stayed 3 nights for work in October 2016. The hotel is right opposite the Pulau Guell, one of Gaudi's masterpieces. The lower floors are more traditional but a modern piece has been added on top. Very friendly staff and my room was fine. I'm not a fan of A/C so left the window open at night which did allow some... More

Upon arrival by cab at Hotel Gaudi late in the evening, I was a bit concerned about the location. There seemed to be a lot of young men just lurking about in the doorways near the hotel. My concerns were unnecessary! Everyone around the hotel was super friendly and kind, and by my second day, I had made friends with... More

I used the Metro from the airport to the hotel. I spent a bit of time before my trip researching exactly how to get to the hotel from Liceu metro stop. It was a short 3-5 minute walk, and very easy to find, as I had landmarks to look for thanks to Google Earth. I had pre-paid my 2 night... More

We came early on a Friday so we had time for a walk because the check in started at 13:00. The room was clean and it was 4 beds. It is a middle class hotel so take it for what it is. We liked it. The staff was friendly and helpful. I think although it's time to renovate some of... More

Good comfortable rooms, reasonable food and friendly helpful staff. Some nice bars and restaurants close by and situated conveniently for sightseeing. Breakfast didn't start too early (7:30) but was quite good. Street facing rooms have great view of the Gaudi building opposite.

We had a great experience at the hotel Gaudi. The location was perfect, close to everything. The rooms were comfortable and the staff friendly . Single rooms are small and located on the interior of building with a small window overlooking an interior air shaft, Dark and hot. I did not see double rooms, but heard favorable comments. Hotel charges for safety deposit box and small fee for printing boarding passes - these are usually free hotel amenities.

The Hotel Gaudi is very convenient to La Rambla and a number of museums, restaurants, shops and sights as well as a metro stop about two blocks away. Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
