We stayed at Primero Primera earlier this week, but only for a single night in transit. As made clear, the hotel is somewhat removed from the centre of Barcelona, but that is no bad thing.

I loved staying at Primero Primera. The entire hotel is just gorgeously done, decoration and features are chic, impecable. Rooms are quiet and spacious, price is unbeatable.
I was very happy to be away from the disturbing frenzy of the mass-tourism invasion of the city...More
Picked this hotel based on the reviews and they were spot on. Nice to be away from Barcelona center and the noise of downtown. Close to a metro stop. Lots of good restaurants only a short walk away.

My main problem with most cities is noise, and Barcelona suffers badly from traffic noise.
We visit BCN often and our stay at Primero Primera is the first time in the city that I have enjoyed a proper night's sleep. It's in a quiet area...More

We had a large one bedroom apartment on the second floor. The bathroom had a solid door, not a glass partition. The bathroom was very spacious and nice, with separate areas for the tub and the shower. Plenty of privacy. I don't recall the exact amount we pain per night but it was more than 300 euros, but not a lot more as I recall, and we thought it was a great value. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. I hope we get to go back again some day.
We used the public airport shuttle bus called the Aerobús. I believe it was around 5 euro each way. Takes you to the city center, from there, we rode the metro rail. You can buy a multi ride pass for 10 euro.

If you have lots of luggage and want an easy option, then a taxi would be best. This will probably take about15 minutes and can be a good way to see some of the city. However, it is really easy to get to the hotel by metro and that is how we did it. It will also be cheaper and not much different timewise. From Estacio Sants, go to Diagonal metro and then Les Tres Torres. The hotel is a couple of minutes walk away and it is a good way to orient yourself. If you are going to be in Barcelona for a couple of days then I would suggest getting a metro pass as a cost effective way of getting around - if you are doing more than 5 metro trips, it is certainly better value having a pass than paying separately. Enjoy Barcelona.
