Stayed here post cruise only a 2 minute walk to Las Rambles, rooms Clean, Continental Breakfast included Hot meal (Sausage and Scambled Egg) but more than adequate for our needs, after the cruise and before our flight back home.
Very nice central hotel just off the Ramblas. Really nice restaurant next to the hotel too (Rita Blue). The rooms were nice and spacious and comfortable and staff all friendly. Was not that keen on the breakfast but there is always a nice bakery to...More

Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day
forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.

hi Karen, we used the train from the airport to Liceu metro station which is just around the corner from the hotel. You can buy a ticket which lasts several days and works on all public transport- busses, trains and the underground. Once you get the hang of it, it's really easy to get around Barcelona and the hotel is in a great location. We changed from the train to the underground (Metro) at the University station, I think. The most difficult part was getting the right ticket as there are so many options. There are staff at Barcelona Airport train station to assist you. Hope you have a wonderful time in Barcelona.
