A nice enough hotel, but definitely not 4 star. Room was tiny, not big enough for to people, balcony not worth having could only stand on it, no chairs to sit. Lack of staff so requests took a long time. Only had one kind of wine to offer... bar closes early, lacking that something special for a really memorable stay.

I have recently stayed here with my husband and our two friends. This was my third visit to Barcelona and this was the best hotel I have stayed in by far! The hotel itself is very stylish, modern and clean. The bar area is lovely and so is the dining area. We were very pleased with the rooms which were...

I stayed here with a friend, for the final part of our "European Cities" tour (we were rather sad to leave on Fri). The hotel looked lovely from the pictures I had seen online, and reviews seemed positive - on arrival, I certainly wasn't disappointed. The Reception, Lounge and Bar area was very nice, with rich and tasteful decor. Our...

This is a very good choice of hotel in a nice, quiet area which is away from the main tourist centre. It is, however, only a short walk away from the excellent shopping areas on the Av. Diagonal and there is a metro station not far away which can take you to the tourist sights with ease. The Barcelona Bus...

We booked this hotel online via British Airways website as it appeared to offer the best facilities and value for money. We were not disappointed. The hotel is kept scrupulously clean, the breakfast is sufficiently varied to cater for all tastes and appetites - including those who require a gluten-free diet. We were warmly welcomed upon our arrival, even though...

We went here for the first half of our honeymoon having paid a premium choosing the best room. Firstly let me say this is genuinely a lovely hotel and we had a wonderful time staying here but there are a few things that could have been better. Top tier rooms come in 2 distinct types. 908 and 907 have smaller...

We stayed here with our family for 7 days from 15th - 22th. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood and about 100m from the nearest metro (Hospital Clinic L5). We stayed in a trippelrom and it was large, clean and had 2 bathrooms. Unfortunately the room is not soundproof and we could clearly hear the people living in...

We went in july 2013 during the swimming championship and we loved it! Our room was incredible, we even had a walk-in closet! However, as it was a triple room, we did not have any views, there were two or three windows in the room but they were all indoor ones. The beds were all very comfortable, even the "sofa"...

Stayed in this hotel for a sightseeing break- great choice! Extremely high standard hotel in a great location. I have read some reviews saying that the location isn't great- we for think it could have been better! 10mins from the centre of Barcelona by metro or a 25-30 minute walk- perfect! Room was lovely, the only thing it didn't have...

My husband & I stayed 3 nights at this hotel and I would recommend it to anybody. The cost was 118 euro/night and was good value. The room was large, the bathroom very large, and the balcony/terrace was very large. The view from the balcony was great. We only had one breakfast there as we wanted to try some of...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
