Felt a bit let down with this hotel after once staying in the same star B hotel just up the road, the room we had was clean and tidy but had seen better days, clean towels every day and the cleaning staff kept the rooms and the rest of the hotel ship shape. There was a nice new flat screen...

It is a hotel on the simple side but clean. The rooms are large and in good conditions with the exception of the beds that were not comfy because the mattresses seem quite old or, at least, not in good conditions anymore. Another very unpleasant thing was the air conditioning which was very noisy. Still on the bad side, the...

I wanted a place that was safe to walk, yet was reasonably close to shopping, as my elderly mother and I were travelling together. Since this was my first time to Barcelona, we took a cab from the airport to the hotel. For 2 of us, it cost us around 24 euros. The hotel is in an excellent location; close...

No more than an 8 minute walk to the Fira at the foot of Montijuic, hotel is average in a good location. Clean, very comfortable king bed and a bath which in size could be deemed lavish by Euro standards. Surprise is the charming rooftop pool and sitting area. Breakfast provided ample options. Plenty of restaurants right on the next...

The hotel is located in a very convenient area and is only steps away from the airport shuttles. The hotel room was large enough to have us as a family. The beds were not comfortable at all. We could listen the springs making noise everytime we turn in bed. The breakfast was decent. There weren't so many food to choose....

As per our plans for a long trip accross Spain we allowed only 1 and a half day for Barcelona. Also we had a flight arriving at Barcelona at around 10-30 PM. That's why we needed a hotel with an easy access from the airport and located not far from metro stations. Onix Fira was the best choice: it's located...

Very good position, close to Plaza de Espana and to the metro. Good rooms and service, passable breakfast. Small pool but nice to have it when coming back late. wi-fi weak in the room, but 2 computers available in public room. Only concern is the parking place, garage not good, too narrow passageway even for medium sized car, also too...

My university paid for the 4 night staying - so I wont comment on the pricing. I just loved the location. Very close from the Barcelona Sant train station. And Plaça Espanya Metro is 3 minute walkin distance. There is a huge mall nearby - Arenas de Barcelona (it helped me to get done with shopping at the last moment)....

This good hotel is very reasonably priced for Barcelona, and is very close to Plaça d'Espanya. This grand square is absolutely my favorite in this city, and so much more impressive than other overrated squares. Yes, there has been lots of construction work going on around here lately, you can hardly blame the hotel for that, and I cannot believe...

The reception staff speaks English which is not a standard in Spain. Room 416 (a triple) was big, with a park view and a balcony. At all cost avoid breakfast in this hotel. It costs almost 8 Euro per person and is really terrible. For that kind of money (or less) you can eat good breakfast in bars nearby (Tapa...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
