Right next to the Metro - which by the way is so easy to use. Our room was on the 5th floor, was spacious, and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our breakfast was included in our package and was plentiful with lots of variety. If we are ever fortunate enough to return to Barcelona, this will be where...

We stayed here post-cruise, arranged by the cruise line. A few positives. Nice breakfast, nice bar area, solid internet, good location to visit Olympic Park, room was clean. The Negatives. Arriving and stowing luggage was a NIGHTMARE, over a 45 minute wait with only one porter. Why they did not reallocate another resource to speed up the line is beyond...

The most prominent feature of the hotel is its location: the Parallel Metro station is just across the road and you can go straight to all sightseeing (Sagrada, Park Guel, Montjuic, etc). The bus stop in front of the hotel - straight to Barceloneta and further. And the most exciting - Rambla and Columbus is just 5-10 minutes walk! Even...

We visited Barcelona for a family holiday (2 adults + 2 kids) and this place proved a good choice. It was within walking distance to many Barcelona attractions. We got a 2 bedroom suite and it was sufficiently high to avoid noise from the street. The furniture in the room were a bit dated but functional. We got free wifi...

First class hotel. Excellent rooms - good sized, with tea/coffee making facilities. Had family room which was ideal. Comfy beds. Nice surprise to have toiletries provided. Breakfast was excellent value at 11 euros and well worth the money - good choice of food and all of good quality. Well positioned to visit all locations in Barcelona. Would certainly stay again...

We traveled with 2 kids and got a great family room with enough space and good beds for everyone - value for money. Greate location, just 25 m from the Paral-lel subway station. 3 stops from Placa Catalunia- 7 min walk to Rambla 8 min walk to the cruise ship terminal shuttle bus. Breakfast overpriced.

We stayed here after our cruise and it was close to the docks. It was also very close to the city center and the Kings castle as well as the shopping center made from an old bull fighting stadium. The hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful. We used the hop on hop off tour to get us...

We used this hotel for a weekend in Barcelona, it had a metro station right outside and can reach most of the city and sights from here. The Ramblers is only a 5 minute walk or one stop on the metro, the metro is probably the easiest way to get around, get a couple day pass and no worries. If...

This hotel is in a great position on Avenida Paral.lel, only 5 minutes walk from La Ramblas or the harbour. If you want to explore the city, a metro station and bus stop are both directly outside the hotel. When we arrived the hotel reception was very busy and we had to queue for 30 mins to get to the...

We used this hotel pre-cruise in Barcelona. It is well located and you can walk to the cruise shuttle bus, with suitcases in about 10 minutes. On our visit as well as many one nighters like us there were big exhibtions elsewhere in the city and the Hotel was struggling to deal with a big guest turnover.Quees at recption ,...

Staying in Montjuic

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
