We were very happy with the Regencia Colon. The room we had was very spacious with a nice bathroom and great shower. Our hotel faced the street and the noise didn't bother us at all, especially because we could automatically lower window shutters that blocked...More
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in January this year. We booked it having read the excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. We paid with bancotel vouchers which made it cheaper than normal prices. We took an airport bus to Placa de Catalunya and...More

We were in Barcelona for 8 days, away for 4 then back for 3 and stayed here both visits. The location can't be beat, the rooms are small but immaculate and the staff were wonderful to us. I took the airport bus in to town...More

With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local
musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.

We arrived to Barcelona Airport and took a taxi to the hotel. I found the taxis to be relatively inexpensive and I took them other times around the city. The metro is also great once we got our bearings but you do have a further walk (from the Placa de Catalunya)- we got a 10 trip card but we were there for a week and you can use it on the buses too. One card can be used for multiple people.
