We chose this hotel for its good central location. Regencia Colon is just a few steps to the Barcelona Cathedral and an easy walk to Las Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya where we took the airport bus to go to the airport. There are good shopping...More
Great staff and great location right by the Cathedral. The breakfast was very nice- especially the croissants- plenty of food to choose from and only 6.50 euros. Only issue no shampoo or conditioner provided (got gel only). But we were surprised to be given toothbrushes...More
With so much choice in the city I think I did well choosing this hotel. It has a tranquil and elegant atmosphere from the reception throughout. The room was comfortable and quiet despite overlooking the motorbike parking street, but was a little dated. There is...More
A wonderful hotel conveniently located to many attractions within walking distance in Barcelona. Very clean, quiet, safe, and friendly, helpful staff. Close to many cafes, restaurants, bus lines. Would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
Stayed 4 nights on a room only basis with 4 friends in Barca for the Rolling Stones gig at the Olympic Stadium as part of their No Filter tour

Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local

We arrived to Barcelona Airport and took a taxi to the hotel. I found the taxis to be relatively inexpensive and I took them other times around the city. The metro is also great once we got our bearings but you do have a further walk (from the Placa de Catalunya)- we got a 10 trip card but we were there for a week and you can use it on the buses too. One card can be used for multiple people.
Agree with other answers. Take the bus, it's very cheap (about €5 pp) & easy to use. I'd recommend using Google maps to navigate to the hotel once you get off the bus.
