Stayed here for three nights. Our room was at the front, and there was some traffic noise, but the thick double layer of sliding windows/doors did help with that. The room itself was a good size for a city hotel and you could step onto the small balcony to look out down the street. The beds were not brilliantly comfortable...

We said we would stay here again and we did! Had room on the front this time and apart from the first night, (taxis beeping their horn and bin collection) it was quiet. Breakfast was as good as last time and staff were just as friendly and helpful. We had a slight problem with the shower and a new mixer...

Centrally located. A big plus for getting around a minus for sleep. Clean hotel, excellent abundant breakfast included. Beds too hard and only twins available. You can walk to all your sites from here. You just can't count on a good nights skeep.

We have just arrived at the hotel and have to agree wholeheartedly with other reviewers when they say that this hotel gives a five star service on a bargain price tag! Would recommend staying here with NO reservations.

The hotel is centrally located - about one block away from Plaza Catalunia. The twin rooms are spacious with one or 2 closets, a safe deposit box, a small refrigerator and an electric tea kettle. We had a room with a tiny balcony facing the street, totally insulated from the outside noise. The bed is very comfortable and the room is...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
